I like a strong cigar, i think such as the Hoyo 135th or the Indian Tabac Super Fuerte, but this thing was ridiculous, well it tasted like the name says, does anybody like these??

I've got one of those things coming to me as part of a 4 pack (the other 3 were all decent). I pretty much expected to have to put it in a corner of the humidor and let it sit for a couple of months. maybe it is not even worth trying to get it smokable.

I 'won' a bundle a few weeks back, and I love them.
The taste is very good ... though it's not very strong.
It's a lot smoother that I expected from Rocky ...

that is good to hear. it means that all 4 smokes in the 4 pack will be good. the CAO corona is a good quick smoke. the Cupido is an excellent figurado. the black suntuoso can go either way.

I liked it at first. It had a different taste. But about 1/2 way thru I had to toss it. I tried another with the same result. the other 3 are resting for a while to see if any improvement.

Just an update in case anyone cares. Smoked a Diesel Crude in celebration of April Fools Day. Had a toothy maduro wrapper that was somewhat wrinkly, but otherwise the construction seemed decent enough. The burn was uneven at the beginning and I had to correct it a few times and relight it once. The draw was a little loose, but produced a lot of nice blue smoke. It was a fairly straightforward cigar with a medium body and some nice spiciness. It also had a flavour that reminded me of black coffee. Overall it was a good smoke for a drive home from work.
PS This one had sat in my humidor for about two months.

I've had a bundle sitting since they first came out here and did smoke one last week. They have picked up in strength and flavor. Much improved from my initial tasting. I could not put my finger on the flavor though. Black Coffee? Not that stong. Nice volume of smoke and I found myself smoking it down to near nothing. When it gets warmer (two months?) I will give em another whirl.

Also have one sitting. Also won that 4-pack in mention. One of the nicest samplers that goes for near nothing in a long time. That is, a sampler not put together of only rockets.
Should it sit or should it smoke? Hmmmmm..... desitions, desitions!

A well constructed, fine looking cigar. I lit one and smoked it a while. Taste is a function of smell and I was reminded of changing the oil for the first time on my 66 Spitfire. The previous owner couldn't remember when he had done it last. Rich overtones of burnt motor oil. The dusky aroma of scorched valves....ahhh the memories! I experienced a wild tingling on the tongue and pallate that left me panting like a thirsty beagle. I find them a bit overpowering. One dimensional and lacking in complexity.

I am a big fan of Indian Tabac super fuerte,Padron, and Punch. The diesel cigars I had were full flavored and fairly smooth. They did lack a spicy finish, but they burned well and I only expect them to get better with age. I bought a bundle.

Diesel cigars, I tell you for the price you can't go wrong.. under a buck each, plus you can sell them to your friends or give them away as gifts. The toros have nice powerful black cherry taste, but do finish quite short.
