I am thankful for this phenomenon... Otherwise my typing would often be illegible.

I think this is incredible... if you can't see it from this thread, print it out in larger font and read it off the hard copy.

Amazing demonstration of the cognitive power of the brain (and why human spell checkers are so annoying). There are other simple congitive measuring devices that show clearly the unseen processing powers of the brain that are always running underneath the surface (the unconsious mind). One is 'The Necker Cube.' Google it and check one out. It's a simple 3-D cube drawn on a 2-D plane (like paper), and it shows how the mind can move and reshape the objects we see, without any movement in the external object at all. For me personally, in no way do I attribute any of this neural magic to spiritual explanations (not that there's anything inherently wrong with doing so), but in any case, the wide range and incredible capacities of the brain, above and beyond the conscious processes, is truly fantastic.

Ooo, I love this kinda stuff.

Here's another one: while sitting down, with your right hand, make a clockwise circle in the air. Next, at the same time lift your right foot and make a clockwise circle. Now change to a counter clock-wise movement with your hand, and your foot will automatically change direction. It is next to impossible to have your foot and hand moving in opposite directions.

Apparently we're all wired pretty much the same. So much for individualism (within two standard deviations from the mean of a normal curve at least).

That was funny, Rick...

Primate depends on who you're talking about, this board certainly contains a few outliers ;-)
