I've watched 60 minutes for probably half my life or more, and is it me, or has Andy Rooney just become this annoying 3 minute fill for a program that has lost it's objectivity and succumbed to the Viacom profit engine?

Andy even said at the beginning of the season that he would do all he could to "grind people the wrong way" as often as he could. And, he was not about to "trim his eyebrows just because someone says I should."

Andy, you should just stick your head in a pencil sharpener. Not only woud that trim your eyebrows, it would make your head easier to put up your ass.

All due respect of course....

This is another perfect example of everything that's happening in the print and broadcast medias. Shows like 60 minutes and 20/20 have been disguising themselves as NEWS shows all the while pimping the agendas as well as the profit vacumms of their major studio owners. Not even the great 60 MINUTES is immune any more. Rooney, Safer, Wallace and Bradley are relics albeit popular ones. If Rooney makes you mad, it's only because he's supposed to. Believe me, CBS and Viacom know this or he would have been in the trash heap a long time ago. I think he's well past his prime, but my 84 year old grandmother likes him. And anything that she likes is just fine with me.

I have to admit, my favorite Andy Rooney bit was many, many years ago when I was a kid.
He started out with, "Did you ever wonder why they stick so much cotton into a pill bottle?" he then proceeded to take an identical bottle and put all the pills into the first with room to spare. I was just crying I was laughing so hard at this. But he did make a valid point.
