I lurk off and on and thought many of you might feel my pain on this one. Just had a new humidor built in to a desk that I had made. As I was transferring cigars from my many humidors into this new one, I came across a box I had forgotten about. Look at the date (ouch). A friend said it was great plume. Alas, its fuzzy. I really loved these cigars too. Oh well!

Not so bad you couldn't wipe 'em off and smoke 'em...

FMG, its worse than it looks in that one, unfortunately. I loved these cigars too. Funny though, some of it so clearly mold and some actually looks like plume, its like a combo. Regardless, they are in a better place.

Oh and I liked the packaging too. The '06 Camaroon came wrapped in cloth. Which I suspect contributed to the mold.

I think it's too late based on his reply to FGM.................Already in a better place.....................................

(I'd have wiped them off too, or @ least gave it a shot!! )

Wipe 'em off and wipe the entire cigar with distilled water. You will never know the difference when you smoke them. Done it a couple of times.Damn, love those Preferidos. Yummy Cameroon wrappers!

I have a box of the Pref Robustos (not 06 version) with an older box date than yours. The cloth does not contribute to the mold, unless you wet it before you stored your cigars ;)

It is too bad about those, a darn fine smoke and I bet with that amount of age would be even better.
