I've had TIVO for about 3 months and it's totally changed my TV habits. I watch alot of TV and nothing drives me more crazy than commercials. Now, I record EVERYTHING I used to watch regularily. I just watch it on the following day. Football is different. I just start recording the games and then start watching the recorded version about 20 minutes or so into it and I can usually shuttle past the commercials the entire game.

Other syndicated shows like Seinfeld which are clipped for syndication and extra commercials added are now very easy to watch. Heck, all shows are easy to watch. Letterman, Leno, all the good PBS documentaries, movies, and Road Runner. Ya, I get them all now. With Directv, there's no charge for the TIVO service. Otherwise I think it's $13 a month.

TIVO BOX... $80 at Best Buy...

DIRECTV AND TIVO SERVICE...$90 A MONTH...

NO COMMERCIALS....Priceless !!!

have had tivo for 3 years. Dish PVR before that. once you experience pause live tv you never go back!

I'd sign up if I didn't already have it with Dish. Love it, though, and I'm not even that big a TV watcher.

TIVO is nice but we e have Dishnetwork too. I recently upgraded my receiver to a DVR model that can record up to 80 hours of video, it too allows you to schedule recording of shows and you can pause and recall live TV. The Pause button is even colored yellow on the remote.
