No, what he's saying is complete BS. "Corporate America" and the "wealthy" aren't at "war" with the "common folk." That line is a typical tactic used by socialists worldwide to usurp free enterprise, and bring about a state-controlled monopolies.
If they are ar "war" with the the middle-class (another socialist term that never existed in this country until Woodrow Wilson) it is because they're lining up to be the first people whose power and fortunes are guaranteed by the federal government. Because most cunning socialists thses days know that outright communism is a failure, and they think that they can make their failed philosophy work by "tweaking" it a little so that it sucks far less. So they get wealthy people on board, secure their fortunes through legislation and regulation, and then the real stopming of average individuals begins in earnest.
Whether what BS advocates or Marx advocated is tried, it will all come crasing down in the same manner. The only difference is the lenth at which their structured economies die an agonizing death.
