Hi Folks, I have made many purchases this past year with CigarBid and want to share my thoughts on some of the smokes I tried. Most of the cigars are good, but there have been some stinkers. I bought a box of Havana Sunrise Maduro Robusto. These were wrapped so tight, Linda Lovelace could not get a draw. All I got was a headache from sucking too hard! Too bad because what I could taste, tasted pretty good. Another non-winner is the Santa Rosa Maduro Torpedo. This was one nice looking (dark chocolate) stick with teriffic aroma. The problem again was with the draw and it also tunneled. I have let them age for months, but still no luck. A box of 5 Vegas Dbl Coronas had some sticks where the wrapper disintigrated, but most were OK. For the winners, i am currently smoking some Astral Perfeccion. These are awesome. Excellent draw and taste and pretty cheap. Ashton Corona, say no more.
Perdomo2 Torfecto, shaped like a dog turd but lucily doesn't taste like it. Full flavor but not overpowering. RYJ Churchill, Puros Indios Roth., Macanudo Hyde Park and La Flor Dominicana were also good in my book. I just turned 40 so my wife bought me a couple of Monty #2 (DR), one of the best I have had, and I have had a few. I keep trying for these on CigarBid, but someone keeps bidding $11.99 each! Thanks for listening and lets here your favs!

Hey Tin_Cup. Thanks for the heads up (especially on the dog turds). You'll find alot of great cigars up for bid here on CigarBid. Might I suggest the Mayorgas (any size), the CAO L'Anniversary maduros (seeing as how you like Puros, they rock!). My wife got me a box of the CAO Toros a week ago and I think I have 8 left. Others to try are LaGloria's and Montesino (maduros are best). I too get some real stinkers from time to time but I figure that is part of risk of trying a new cigar. Another thing I noticed is that in alot of cases AGING makes a big difference. I didn't believe it until I tried it myself (at the bequest of my buddies here). Some cigars I bought 10 months ago are still aging. Anyways, enjoy the hunt for that perfect smoke and don't forget, as my friends here tell me, "The perfect cigar is the one that's right FOR YOU"........Brent

Try CAO Gold and the Bahia Gold series. Very fine smokes that I have purchased from CB. Also the Perdomo Cabinet Selection #3's with Rosado wrappers....like a piece of heaven.

Anyone can pick great cigars that cost 6-100 dollars. The trick is to buy great smokes 1-5 dollars.....Russ

In the $1.00 to $5.00 range, try the La Luna Maduro Fuerte or even the Little Havana Blend these are both a very good bargain for the buck and quite tasty (MHO.)

Ditto what squattro said. LaLuna rocks. Those Maduro Fuertes pack a nice punch. The LHB are a little more subtle.

I always take sticks that I have evolved from and give them to newbies that want to discover cigars. I also make a point of carrying some of these to restaurants that are smoke friendly. Nothing makes a stranger happier than when you gift him/her a cigar. It also makes more room in the 'dor for what you would rather be smoking.

I just bought a bundle of La Luna LHB's. No complaints from me. Especially paying less than a buck each. I love 'em.
