Been smoking 'em for about 6 months...CB for 2 weeks. Already made two orders and exceeded cigar budget for the month. I often hear of encounters with plugged cigars. How can I tell if I have a plugged smoke?

Popped a cuban Montecristo #2 in the box today...my first de la habana. Plan on aging as long as I can hold out. Might try to develop a single malt scotch liking first.

Slow down there. You gonna develope all your vises at once? Throw some crack smokin in there, a little varmit poaching, and a some backyard toxic waste dumping and might be able to fit in. "Smoking 'em", cigars, right? What's your brand? On the plugged, sometimes you just don't know till you light it up. Others you can sometimes tell on the pre-draw or if you feel unusually hard spots will indicate possible plugged stogie.

Are U saying Del's grounded. Does that mean he can't smoke cigars? That's pretty harsh if he can't.

You can't really tell, until you actually smoke it. I've had some smokes that were like 'broom handles' ... and they smoked beautifully.

I was even given some 'plugged' ISOM SLR A's because they were hard as rocks, and were thought to be unsmokeable. It turned out to be the best Cubans I've ever smoked ...

For those plugged ones I do get, I just use one of those turkey 'needles' you see in the housewares department around Thanksgiving time. You know, the ones that you supposedly use to sew the turkey up after you stuff it? They works great!

Won't the turkey needle make your cigar smell foul?

Try a bamboo skewer... they're pointed on one end and come in sizes...of course, remove the shrimp first.

"plugged" tends to get confused with "tight draw". I've found a draw poker to work OK with tight draws but not so much with pluggers. Some cigars are of such poor construction you gotta wonder whether the roller conciously set the filler sideways -- The poker cannot help these. Thank jod I don't come across them that often, but when I do they get airborne quickly.

An injection of Botox tends to loosen up a tight draw also

We can go fishing if Mr Mean will kindly pick up some worms while he's laying around in the yard. I think he's been tripping over invisible things again, I find them in my yard every time i get to drinking a little. Barry

Chinese seafood restaurants make the best crab. I especially like the ginger-scallion (they put garlic in it, too.) Make sure there is a live tank. Next best is any dumpy neighborhood crabhouse in the Baltimore area. MMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ooops, sorry, this is the Sports forum, isn't it.
