It took some time, but the Dems have finally found a way to make Bush look bad. I don't know the details yet, but it appears there was a warning about Bin Ladens group hijacking some planes. My questions are many. First, was there any doubt that amongst the thousands of threats annually there would be one that matched the 9-11 tragedy? Secondly, what are they suggesting with these accusations? That Bush wanted to kill thousands for political gain? That he is somehow involved with these terrorists? It is a sad day when the victimized families have to relive the tragedy so some Washington politicos can make a name for themselves with no sound basis for their actions.

bullsh*t. how about the picture of the "commander-in-chief" on the phone talking. keeping up with the latest developments, arranging strategy, planning his next move, realizing he just got the "trifecta." probably the only one in the loop that didn't f**k up was bush, because he is at the edge of the loop and not looking in. forget all this bs. he has cut $ to education, social services and has overspent our credit card. we are in debt. i know it's all klinton and bore the gore's fault. hell they even helped benny the latin. killing people en mass is a lot easier than killing them one at a time, something he had no difficulty with. wake up, bush is a ding (see previous explanation). he even walks like a ding. i heard condoleeza rice talking the other day.she is one smart cookie. maybe she is the pressident. chenney is where? "wekend at bernie's" comes to mind. i am going to take atenelol before i read the political post again. if you notice i have not started any political posts in a loooong time, but i can't see such nonsense printed. a lot of kids read these posts and i don't want to see them indoctrinated.

esplendidoschick: oh no! not you too! you all looked so nice, i assumed your family was the caring, loving typical liberal family like mine. toby and i both look like staunch conservatives. see picture post
"MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM RICK AND TOBY" mid jan about 60 to 70 posts back. as a gentleman, i give you a pass on your monica remark (its about 4 years ago) but may i remind you that when the prince of darkness was appointed by the king of darknes' appointees to the court of jesters, was annointed the new leader of the free world, we had a surplus. center of mouth "we must improve edjukaton," right of mouth, "cut the budget for them there kids." center of mouth "we must be compashonete to our woman folk." right of mouth "cut all money to womans groops, and close and lock that door where them womans went for relief from guys grabbing there asses at work. them guys are only playing." stem cell research, center of mouth. "i'm against it." right of mouth, "what is a stem cell?"
for your info, israel has already made great progress attempting to cure Alzheimer's disease and a possible cancer cure that attacks only the out of control cells, using stem cell research. also, not stem cell research, but a camera the size of a pill that is swallowed and monitors the small intestine, taking a picture a second or thereabouts and sends the photos to a computer, eliminating the need for some really difficult barium tests. sort of like "fantastic voyage" open research, open sesame. (sesame being a possible cure in addition to what's on top of mcdonald's buns, if you'll pardon the mention of buns, which i'm sure you will not find offensive considering your reference to monica and cigars.

I still need more info but as I've heard it, Daschle and his cronies plus the rest of the congress had acess to the same security briefings. That said, I think Daschle who happens to hail from my home state is Scumbucket #1 when it comes to sleazy political dealings.Trying to pin this on the Bush administration at this time is sickening.Richard,YOU ARE RANTING AGAIN.Stop it! LOL

The Phillipinos warned the president that Bin Ladin and Al Queda were planning to use American passenger jets as bombs and go after the pentagon and the world trade center. The warning was ignored. The president was Clinton and the year was 1995.

Rick, although in the past I have enjoyed some of your bonehead banter, you have become a typical Liberal. Your anger shows in your post, then you go on to talk about everything but the issue brought up. Bush cuts spending on wacko liberal womens groups, so he is responsible for what?? What the hell are you doing? You've not posted for a while because Bush is doing it Correctly. There was an absence. A void. The Dems had no fodder for front page sensationalism. Then, alas! A warning many moons ago which matches the 9-11 tragedy. Cripes, it's like reading the thousands of predictions made by yesteryears soothsayers and finding one that came true. It's called law of averages, and unless you're a DOPE (like ALL Democrats), then you understand there's bound to be a match. For the record, I call ALL DEMOCRATS "DOPES" because they think higher spending means improvement. Bush's cuts in education (among others) has come with concrete plans to IMPROVE the system. Not simply to SPEND MORE. It may or may not work, but at least it's a start. Financial responsiblity only comes with a tightened budget.

Anybody who believes the President was forewarned with enough information to shut down aviation because of the intelligence gathered, as this kind of stuff comes in daily, is a fool! Daschle and his croonies were screaming bloodly murder about some of the warnings that have been posted since 9/11, one in particular was that American Bridges would be attacked back in
April! They screamed that the Administration was causing undue fear and that the warnings were unneccessary! Democrats are grasping for straws as their political cards are not carrying much weight, and will do anything to try and win some seats in Congress in November! More Democrat mud that will go away very quickly!!! Charlie

Easy to point fingers after the fact. ****** Cheney said as early as 9/15 that we had had intelligence that something bad was brewing. Problem was, nobody could put together a coherent picture of what specifically that might be. People bitch NOW about increased airport security. What would people have said THEN? The elections are looming. Let the finger pointing begin(grin)! Having defended the administration on that, I will say this. I DO NOT like what they are doing to our fine balanced budget. Maybe we can get Ken Lay to pay for the war(undeclared) on terrorism as his punishment.

Rick, the question is/was what information the Bush administration had prior to 9/11/01.I simply stated my opinion on the subject and pointed out to you that your first two posts on this topic are clearly political ranting.I made no reference to you saying it was Bush's fault,I simply pointed out that you are clearly only ranting once again.I do appologize,I shouldn't have told you to "stop".Your rants can be truly entertaining(if one dosen't take them too seriously).RANT ON BROTHA!........LOL

jjohnson28: i don't give a damn who knew what when, but trying to organize our "inteligence" is more important. we need to find out how to close the loopholes that let info from a flight traing school that some arab wanted to learn to fly, not land was passed on. why the hell didn't they confiscate his computer and search it for anything. this country spent more time and money investigating what may very well have been a clinton dirty deal and im,peached him because he got a b**w job on company time. that was certainly important to our national security. i know he lied no i didn't if may mean if or not, poindexter, north and a host of others under the semi-watchfull eyes of the second dumbest president we had, bush wins hands down and wasn't elected. put your right arm over your head and grab your left ear. put your left arm over your head and grab your right ear. when you pull your head out of your a**, you might be able to think better. 9/11 was not bushe's fault!!!!!
cutting education while saying he will improve education is. "wacko liberal women's groups." you must be joking with a cliche like that. "you're a DOPE (like ALL Democrats)" and all brown horses are animals so all brown animals must be horses.

Before I start let me make this clear, I'm independent but I lean to the liberal side. This is not because I don't have the b*lls to pick a side, but because I don't whole heartedly agree with either side, so I vote the issues and the person. Now to begin, the media is blowing up all of this crap about Bush having actionable information to prevent the attacks, that's plain bull. No president would have been able to know what was going on, much less prevent it. However, It's obvious that our airports have had many problems for a long time, this I blame on the last 3 presidents. Are we so ignorant not to notice the level of security in all of the other major countries? We still are nowhere near the security at most European airports!! And, this is obviously not the first highjacked plane, but you would think that after all of the jackings in the 70's that we'd learn our lesson and maitain a good tight security system. And there was also clear knowledge of the destructive power of a jet being used as a missile since at least 1995. What's that phrase, "If you forget the past you're doomed to repeat it." Maybe we'll learn our lesson this time instead of just placing blame for a year or so and then forgetting about the whole event and allowing it to happen again.

Also, as far as the education issue is concerned, anyone who knows much of Bush's history in Texas should be scared of him running / changing our education program. My Aunt has been a teacher in Texas for 15 years, and she'll be the first to say that a lot of the changes he's made have hurt education in Texas. Because of the moronic testing program the teachers are forced to teach to the test even though they're technically not supposed to. We need to spend more on education, and we need to spend more intelligently on education. Teachers are shaping and molding the future of our country and yet we start them out at an average of 25k. I don't know about any of you guys but I'd find it quite hard to live on 25k, especially in Colorado! That's only 13-15 dollars per hour depending on the schedule. You can make more than that waiting tables!! Yes it's true that they're getting paid for a full year when they only work 8-9 months, but still do you really think they're working only 40 hour weeks? We need to pay teachers more and invest more in the future of our country! And I'm very scared that Bush is going to put us in a worse position than we were in before.
