Well,
Looks like my unemployed status, is not going to be long lived. I spent the last few days, at a Duck Club outside of Stutgart AR. Shooting Ducks, drinking, smoking cigars, and basically having a great time.
Monday night, the cook had off, and we were supposed to fend for ourselves. I told the owner I would be happy to stay at the club and cook for the group, if he would pick up a few things. He brought back a couple of Slamon fillets, and I made salmon Parmesian, I have posted a quick and easy version of this recipe here at cbid. I also made a fruited rice pilaf, a green bean casserole, and some homemade dinner rolls.
One of the guys hunting at the club, owns a very nice resturant, and asked me to call him, after the holidays.
The owner of the duck club, is also into oil and gas well speculation, and has asked me to call him on Monday, as he is looking for a salesman. He wants to prepare me for the exchange and securities exam, and put me on his staff, trying to sell shares in his oil wells. I also had a couple of other offers, and have come home, with a pocket full of buisness cards, from guys wanting to put me to work.
Looks like I will not be unemployed for long.
I am Stoked.

Completing my studying for the Series 7 exam (Broker exam) now. Looks like it's a bear have my fingers crossed. But once you have it the possibilities are endless! Go for it!

Now I have to find something to eat after reading that! LOL!

It's definitely "who" you know! Network-network-network! Good luck and Happy New Year!

Before I came to work here, I had my Series 7, 63, 66 and a PA State Insurance License. The Series 7 has a 74% FAIL rate. Its not the easiest test in the world. I still don't know Options to save my life. The 63 and 66 are just about the same thing and are BORING. Its just laws after laws after laws. I was lucky to have passed them all on the first try. However, it took 4 freaking times to pass the Insurance exam. I sold annuities, so I needed it, but you had to know all about Health Ins, Life Ins, Disability.... ugh!

Good deal. Pick the one that best suits you.

I signed up to take these exams then they told me I could not since I worked in IT and no one from IT is allowed to dual as a broker anymore.

WTG, Homebrew.
That restaurant offer sounds like a perfect fit.
Selling oil wells...that might be a tough sell.
