Cain believes his audiences are a different story. "The voters, they hear my message first, not 'He could take it to Obama,' because they are more concerned about stopping Obama than taking it to Obama," he explained. "This is what I'm hearing and this is what I'm feeling. And the race card is going to be short-lived if Herman Cain gets the nomination."

But wouldn't liberals and Democrats still find a racially-based way to attack Cain? They certainly found a way to attack Clarence Thomas, the black, conservative Supreme Court justice.

"They're going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate," Cain responded. "You're right. Clarence Thomas. And so, to use Clarence Thomas as an example, I'm ready for the same high-tech lynching that he went through -- for the good of this country." Cain smiled broadly. "I'm ready for the same high-tech lynching."

your posts always give me a laugh. you should coin that phrase, left wing whine machine!

i took time to read the article. i see what he is saying. he is using lynching as a figure of speech. all candidates go through it, however you wont see a white candidate using that term and neither should he IMO. but it follows the same principle that it is OK for a rapper or black person to use the n word but then they get offended when a white person says it. I dont call myself names and wouldnt want anyone else calling me names lol. but hey its become acceptable so moving along.......

He is just saying that if he were to run against obama, it would take the race factor out of the equation. thats all.

the race factor was played on both sides from what i saw. Dems said Repubs didnt vote for obama because he is black and repubs said dems voted for him because is IS black/white guilt etc. bottom line is this, both parties voted the same way they always do. We had a repub prez for 8 years who dragged us into a bunch of wars no one really wanted plus gas prices were high and the economy was in the tank so a dem won the election. it was nothing to do with race either way. i think for most everyone, race/gender is an issue of the past. Sure there may be isolated incidents but i honestly believe for the majority of people, it doesnt cross their mind when making decisions these days.

So, what has changed? Think

If it isn't bad enough that articles are edited and shaped to say something else... we got someone that likes to cut and paste sections to make it sound a bit more or less than what it really says... people should look around and quit being so blind to what's going on.

Should just cancel and not post this.. even a few people here have blinders and see what they only want to see..

Ok, i'll hit the... return to forum without posting

nothing has changed of course. i doubt either party would, could or even wants to change our current course. they are too busy getting fat off the public while steering us into a crash course.

The Fox News propaganda machine is already pumping up Herman Cain. After one of the recent debates, Ron Paul had won like 4 online Fox polls and all they kept talking about was Herman Cain...and even had a bunch of people saying scripted BS about Cain. It was crazy. I will try to find a clip.

Get with it. Cain is the new annoited one. Stop fighting it and get in line. Actually, I kind of like what I've heard from him so far, but we do have a long way to go, so Ron Paul may still get my vote, despite my desire to appease my white guilt, lol.

It's all propaganda. There's barely any truly independent nonpartisan media out there anymore. Only on the internet. And even then it's hard to wade through the kooks.

Yep...the republicans will nominate someone who can't beat Obama. Even though I'm a big Ron Paul fan, I doubt he could even beat Obama once the media smear machine kicks in.

Yes he can.

Owebama is beatable.

He's done nothing worthwhile to garner the massive turnout of the independent's this time. I don't think he'll garner any where near the vote tally either.

A tomato can could beat Owebama.

Well, as history has shown, Democrats do things like, oh, throwing Oreos at Michael Steele, and go after Clarance Thomas for marrying a white woman.

They're also the first ones to scream "zionist" when there's a Jew involved.

Or how about some of the lovely political cartoons that people who think like you put out concerning Condolezza Rice.

It's not our fault, Fuzz, that you're part of a pack of rabid racists. Cain is just calling you on it.

Really, I don't know how you live with yourself.

President Obama,

I am writing today with a somewhat unusual request. I ask that you return America to its August 20th, 1959 borders so that Hawaii is no longer a state and you are no longer a citizen.

Thank you,

Move Israel to Viques.

That would be a win-win.
