I agree with Rick on the kids not playing the game...however I think this is a regional thing. I'm in Louisiana where the sport still holds top billing for kids, football being a close second. Soccer has a following here, but just hasn't caught up with the rest of the world. Did somebody say Mark McGwire left because of the admin? The only reason McGwire left is because the friggin aldosterone/testosterone/ and the other **ones he was jabbing in his skin stiffened up his joints so bad he couldn't run around the bases anymore. Publicity on this issue will harm baseball! Rickey's one slipup was stealing that base to help himself. I just don't think he thought it through, but hell he's 40 years old...I'll let him slide. HOF one day for rickey.

don't let them play soccor. it is insidious. it will creep into your life until you spend an hour watching men kick a ball back and forth, endlessly.

Soccer is for kids who's parents won't sign the permission slip for Football/Baseball/Hockey. It's a wuss sport enjoyed by the Wuss population.

Soccer is popular because every kid can kick a ball while not all can hit or shoot a basket. Steroids are rampant because the players union won't allow testing. Rickey is a selfish jerk...wait a sec. Isn't he on the Red Sox... Go Rickey! He's da' Man!

Go Rickey, go someplace else to whine and complain about playing time! Steroids need to taken out of sports, but will they? When a high shool football team can average 270 lbs in the offensive line, makes you kinda wonder doesn't it? They have so many methods for "covering" steroid useage with other drugs that it may be impossible to stay on top of the problem even with testing! Too bad, because Steroids are a major part of NFL too and they test for them. Charlie
