I asked SteveR about this in another thread, he said he believes that the cigar comes in other sizes, this is just a new size for the line.

Top priority is to score my new FAVORITE line, Perdomo's Reserve 10Th Anniversary Champagne, 6x60 Super Toro. The 5x54 Robusto was the best mild cigar with full flavor I have ever experienced. Easily surpasses Camacho Connecticut, Gurkha Beauty, CAO GOLD, Montecristo White, AVO XO, Macanudo, Rocky Patel Vintage Conn, Oliva Connecticut Reserve and even other Perdomo Connecticut wrapped cigars ESV'91 and Lot 23 in flavor. While these were the best Connecticut wrapped cigars I had smoked, none is a 10 OUT OF 10!!! ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp

The Noir is EXCELLENT. The super toro was available at the superstore on Friday, and I smoked one right there. The flavors are meaty and full, yet the cigar is not overpowering, but soft on the palette. This cigar is great now and if it ages as most of Nick's products, it will be amazing in a year or two. The robusto was the give-away at the Perdomo booth, and I will be ashing it sometime this week or next.

As far as any comments made previously about Nick and his care level for the Perdomo fans: Nick is a class act who takes time out of what he is doing to speak to EVERYONE who approaches him. He goes out of his way to talk to, listen to, and take care of his customers...something a few other makers could learn from. Pretty much anyone who has met the man, shaken his hand, and spoken to him knows this, but even if you haven't, consider this. He has even altered the way he does business (which nets his business far less money per cigar made) to absorb the increasing tax loads imposed on his cigars; so that people can continue to regularly enjoy them. He is making more product for less money so you and I can more easily relax with an excellent smoke like the Noir. My .02

There, I finally said it. AAAaaahhhh.....Herfing

Dear Watchurai and all out there.

Thanks so much for the kind words. And yes I do post here personally and quite often. Maybe not on every press release. But I enjoy talking to all of you and post when I can. My father taught me it takes 10 years to get a customer and 3 seconds to lose one. It is also much more enjoyable to be friendly and nice than to be a jerk. I tell this to my kids a lot. We are kind people and we really appreciate all of you. I never built my business on ratings or magazine advertisements. I built it doing thousands of events all of these years and my advertisements comes from you, the cigar smoker. You have spread the word, asked your retailers for Perdomo cigars, and they have listened! This August it will be 20 years of bliss for me. I love this industry and all that I do business with, and those who enjoy our fine cigars. My family of workers and I work extremely hard to produce the very best premium cigars that money can buy!! I also believe that our prices are very fair. We produce cigars from $1.99 to our most expensive line retailing for $7 to $9. As many of you know we are the only cigar maker that has completely absorbed the entire schip tax. It is a bitter pill to swallow. But thanks to all of you our volume and marketshare has really grown. In conclusion, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support of Perdomo cigars!!

All the best!!

Nick

@SteveR,

Steve all I did in my post was to C&P what this guy had allready said.

Was that against the forum rules?

Tiger - I just wasn't really a fan of that post being pasted in this thread. The language, the hostility, etc. Has no place on this forum, let alone this thread.

My local had both in last week. Picked up the Noir, and look forward to enjoying it.

There are a number of Perdomo’s I enjoy, and never really felt their price was an issue.

Thanks for the good smokes Mr Perdomo. Keep them coming.

so I went to the local to pick up one or two of the Noir if they had any...

Apparently, they came in last Thursday... and sold out in 40 min. They had a Perdomo event going on that night, and had barely gotten them priced before they started selling.

Tank will have to wait til the next shipment to get one.

Smoked the Black Noir last night during the Hockey game. Damn good smoke. Started light & creamy. About a third of the way through I thought it was going to flatten-out like a 10th Anniv Champagne Robusto I grabbed from the box pass (not my cup of tea), but instead experienced another burst of flavor & power. Lots of thick smoke. Rich & earthy but still creamy without getting bitter. Liked this medium to medium-full smoke. Like the 10th Anniv Maduro just a little better, but can see buying these again. Lasted for the entire game.

Smoked my first Noir on Saturday. The first inch was nasty, rough and bitter. Came close to tossing it but was glad I didn't. The rest of the smoke was real good. After the first inch, it became nutty, mellow and real tasty. Don't know how to describe, but I went back and bought another 10.
Great smoke at a reasonable (to me) price. Smoked the second one on Sunday, and didn't have the nastyness that I experienced with the first. Just a real good smoke.

I smoked the robusto from Cfest this past weekend, I found it very good...and strong. Powerful flavor profile, more so than the super toro. Both good, though I preferred the toro the overall. Sadly, I rarely have the 1.5 to 2 hours I need to smoke a toro (or anything larger) these days. Still, both vitolas recommended highly!

Smoked my first last night, the super toro. A good smoke, excellant construction and burn. Just size is just a bit much. I'll try again later when the other sizes come out.

I wanna say, I love the level of contact that perdomo offers with their social media networking. Between talking to the perdomos on face book and on here... it really creates a great relationship between the company and its customers. I think its awesome. That is all.

Was out for a ride in the hot ride, and passed a little B&M that I never have been in. Stopped and saw that he had 11 Noir's left in a box and 5 champagne's left in another. Neither had a price on it. I asked how much, he said how many. I said all, he said $75 cash only. I said sold. This was what you call an impulse buy. Smoked one of each since, and continue to enjoy.
I also bought a few other sticks at good prices also.
