I would have preferred just to sit in here for a few hours rather than walk around in the heat. A cigar bar just before you enter Universal. After everyone went their seperate ways leaving the park that evening I had to pop in. It was just me and my boys, and since I had to buy them something at the Element shop I figured why not treat myself to something. So I picked up a Padron '64 maddie (I think principe), and smoked it while walking back to the cab pickup/dropoff area to head back to the hotel. The price wasn't too ridiculous considering the location.

Actually, the outside is deceiving. When you go in you'd expect big comfy leather chairs and couches, etc...something sophisticated. But I didn't see any of that. It's dark and rustic...more country looking. The front part has the walk-in humidor and cigar accessories, and the back 3/4 is a bar. I don't even think I saw anyone smoking inside (not sure if it's legal or not?).

I stopped there when I was down. Hadn't really gotten into smoking that much at that time. So I spent about 15 minutes in the humi and ended up picking out a RyJ tubo for about $8. Its definitely a nice place. I believe you have to eat there in order to smoke there though.

I did see people sitting in the bar area, but IIR I don't even remember the place smelling like smoke at all. So, unless they have a really good exhaust system, I wonder if you're even allowed to smoke inside. Maybe one of the FL folks can chime in on the smoking laws in FL...or if you can smoke in this shpo/bar.

I was just in Orlando for the 1st time on a TDY and the first thing I did when I got to the hotel room was open up the phone book and turn to the C's lol. I ended up spending most of my time at the corona cigar co. Awesome place biggest cigar shop Ive ever been to. Didnt see these cigar shops very nice looking on the outside.

Maybe you should come down to Florida some time. There are a bunch of us in Orlando and Tampa.

I went in on my trip in May.
Picked up a couple sticks, things I've never tried before so I didn't fret over an extra buck or two.
I spoke to the guy behind the counter and he asked if I needed a cut and a light. So I imagine that you can smoke there, although I did not.

Been there but just never compelled to buy at those prices. Now Sosa at downtown Disney had some of his own Hand rolled and they were very good.

Say what? You thought the prices here were worse than the place in Downtown Disney?? Uhm...no. Sosa (house brand) cigars are a decent cigar...the ones with the fancier bands on them...I bought a cheaper Sosa cigar with a bland looking band and had to pitch it halfway through it was too harsh. But the prices in Downtown Disney are OUTRAGEous. The prices, as to be expected, are a bit higher at the shpo near Universal (in my pic), but you can still get a decent cigar for $8 - $12. The place in Downtown Disney, you'd be lucky to get an average (name brand) cigar for under $12. Higher end stuff is $18 - $30+...2-3x average retail.
