never again will a 7 game series ever have this much going for it down to the last 30 seconds. we saw magic foul isiah in the lakers repeat in the 80's by not giving isiah room to catch and turn and the floor erupted with fans. tickets for that game cost 28.50 a seat if you had season tickets that cost about $8. to $10. a seat about half way up, and not to far from where chick hearn sits. than there were fans. we made friends in the lobby waiting for the game to start. we went outsied to smoke during half time.
no one really knew what nickelson's seat cost but we guessed it was $200. or a little more. this series with sacremento win or lose, winning is better, ended with the lakers scoring a total of 604 points and sacremento a total of 605. if you are a football fan, you saw a bunch of joe montans's. if you are a base ball fan you saw ruth, cobb, gehrig, williams. if you are a hockey fan, you saw gretzky get three hat tricks in three games. if you are a golf fan, you saw nicklaus, sneed, palmer, woods all in their prime plying for the win at the masters. won't get any better than this

Never again ... maybe not, but ... I agree with you about this being an incredible series and had noted in a conversation prior to yesterday's game about the overall closeness in total points ... but you know, if you live long enough, you'll maybe see something similarly wonderful ... in 1986, each game of the ALCS and each of the NLCS seemed better than the one that preceeded it only to be capped by what might be (if one can overlook the groundball that went between Billy Buck's legs, which most of us cannot), the greatest World Series of all time ... yeah, it was a great series and the Nets/Celtics wasn't half bad either ... let's hope the Championship Series sees more of the same (sorry Rick ... I like the Lakers a lot, but I'll be rootin' for the Nets).

Steve, the 1986 World Series stands in a class by itself, with so much tension and excitement, but this 7 game playoff series was one of the best ever! I saw on American Airlines that you can order a picture of the ball going between Buckner's legs with Wilson running down the basepath signed by both of them for $99. Cheap for autographed memorbelia, but obviously not something with a big demand! What a World Series that was! Charlie
