Leave it to Kinky to finish with my favorite cigar smoker, Ernie Kovacs, creator of the the Nairobi Jazz Quintet (maybe it was quartet, it was a long time ago) and my favorite poet, Percy Dovetonsils. Ernie's wife, Edie Adams, was the TV blond sexpot spokesgirl for Muriel Cigars ("Why don't you pick me up and smoke me sometime." When Ernie traveled, the first thing he packed was two boxes of cigars. They weren't Muriels. They cost him $2 each, a lot of money in the 1950's. Ernie died way too young, a genuine comic genius.
