You guys have been so helpful... I'm using matches now...that I was wondering how you hold a cigar...on the phlanges or knuckle...the reason I ask is once I light up I don't set it down but shift it back and forth between my index and middle finger until I get a comfortable spot, which changes with each cigar...like finding that certain spot in the chair to snooze...call me a knucklehead, but I trust you guys to come up with some idosyncarcies...and not suggest a cigar holder.

You mean, you don't fondle it in your mouth? Just a thought. I thought you were supposed to hold it with you lips/teeth...Dude, was I wrong!

mhollowa----it must be a slow night. my brother was taking trumpet lessons with ziggy and said i'm not sure i'm holding it against my lips properly. ziggy said if you stick it up your a** and get the correct sound, do it. look in a mirror and practice cool, wise guy, debonair, new smoker (that appears to be easy for you) and trying to see if you'll fold or raise.

I use a giant roach clip and an old mic stand, this way I can still pick my toes.

damn ... I smoked my first cigar more years ago than I'd care to admit (e-Chick called me an old-stogie yesterday, but in my mind, I'm still her age) ... but back to the subject ... in all that time, I never once thought about how I hold the cigar ... different ways, I guess, but whatever it is I do, it seems to work ... (oh, and btw, e-Chick ... I'm NOT old!)
