I must have been the only fool who woke up at 4:30 AM to watch the U.S. jump out to a 3-0 lead over Portugal. No local television or sports radio even reported the score and few of the people I work with even knew (or cared) the U.S. was playing a game that day. I can't wait to watch the game vs. Korea on Monday morning @ 2:30 AM. This time I think I'll just stay awake and watch it on my deck with a few stogies and many pints of Guinness (my neighbors will love me).

Wuss! Follow a REAL sport. Take up Hockey! The only kids that follow soccer are ones whose parents wouldn't sign the permission slip for Football/Hockey/Baseball. We had a name for those kids on my block. Watch the Stanley Cup and get some sleep...you NEED it!

Just what I figured...fat, out of shape guys like you who probably haven't played a sport in years having the balls to call someone else a wuss. Stick to your sports on tv it is much safer for you!

Hey Doc, I don't doubt that hockey is a tough sport (I played that and baseball too in high school). But if you are naive enough to think that your a$$ could play one game of soccer and not have someone put a hurtin' on you then all you need to do is let me know where you are from and I will try to arrange it so that you can play and show us "limp wristed panty wastes" how a real athlete performs. It will require you to put down the potato chips and get of the sofa though fat a$$!!!

Hey Hawk, You might be right. But when it comes to hockey I'm a Flyers fan so you know why I may be bitter. I have to battle for the soccer, it's the only sport I got left here in Philly!

What is it with the fat remarks? Is it because you live in Philly and that's all you see around you? We have a totally different way of life down here in Florida. If someone's fat it's because they want to or they have a medical condition. We have decent weather more that 250 days a year. It makes it real easy to ride a bike,go for a walk...yada,yada,yada. The tough part is getting ice time. There's fewer rinks down here compared to the Detroit area that I moved from. I understand why you're so angry and defensive. It's because you have to wake up in the middle of the night to watch soccer, and you like the Flyers! I still remember the way the entire tri-county area responded to that series. Everybody and everything had a broom attached to it to symbolize SWEEP. It was beautiful. Don't pout little scout at least you have a real football team. I'd trade the Eagles for the Bucs anyday, but you don't follow AMERICAN football do you?

I happen to be a big time Eagles' fan. It was nice to beat up on the Bucs the past two playoffs and the Detroit Lions a few years before that. I just don't limit myself to the 3 or 4 major sports. I'll make a deal with you....If you can sit and watch the next U.S. World Cup game (even if you tape and watch it) and then give me your honest opinion, I'll send you a RyJ Vintage #5 just for the effort! I just want you to know what your taliking about.
