Now I still consider myself a noob when it comes to cigars, so the "fuller" the cigar the less likely I am to enjoy it.
That being said I decided to give this big guy a go anyway.
The unlit smell was mostly a grassy earthy tone. Almost took me back to my grandmothers wheat fields. Nice and oily with a firm body for sure.
Upon lighting I was immediately greeted with a uppercut of spice even before my first draw. When taking the first draw I found myself hesitant to swallow because of the spice in this guy. After about the 1st 1/4 the spice started to die down a little and I was greted with a nice leather, chocolate, earthy taste. The spice remained but was just right.
Once I started to reach the band the spice started picking up a good bit. Also the flavors started to turn to more of a burnt leather and tar mixture. Now I by no means smoke fast, especially when the cigar is as powerful as this.
I have 3 more of these in my humi and plan to let them sit for a while. Anxious to see how they are after a few months.
