i've never really had an nhl team in cleveland so i've rooted for the flyers since bobby clarke and the broad street bullies ruled...if the US hockey team wins a bronze i'll be happy.

Being the homer that I am, I Love the Bruins. Hockey is a fast and exciting game, and it's easy to watch both on tv and in person. I personally like the Bruins minor league team in Providence (also the Bruins). It's inexpensive and you typically get to see many names you know from the "bigs". Also, my kids enjoy it more than baseball, since it has faster action.

I live in Wisconsin. So my vote is for Red Wings. I can't wait until Friday to watch the Men's Hockey. I tried to get into women's hockey last Olympics but it just isn't the same. There isn't any agressiveness or checking or anything.

Reviving the thread. You have a huge NHL fan here. Born and raised in Detroit, and a Wings fan long before it became Hockeytown. Decasere it could be a 97 rematch in a couple of months. Hey where is Jane Ninnima? Just kidding.

oooh that hurts, how could you bring up Janne Ninnamaa (or however you spell it) dont forget we had a worthless Paul Coffee on our team also, i would love to see a rematch, i think Detroit would have a good chance despite the agining lineup Hasek is a big factor.

I'm becomming a hockey fan. Unfortunately I live in Atlanta where we only get to see amature hockey. No I can't wait to see the Thrashers rookies mature over the next few years. If they can get some defense I have high hopes.

The B's are peaking at the right time. Don't know if they'll win it, but they're going to make a bid for Lord Stanleys hardware. They've already clinch a playoff berth and with Lord Byron tending the net it should be a cake walk through the east. Time to chaulk up another World Champion Team for the fans in New England!

I always say that health and hot goaltending win the cup, so that could be anyone that makes it to the final four...of the Stanley Cup playoffs that is.

Of course Philly is still handicapped with Primeau

Gulliver at least you can say you were a fan from the start. There is some great young talent there in Atlanta.

Tailgator Tailgator Tailgator allow me to educate you on who will win Lord Stanleys Cup.There is a team in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division that goes by the name of Philadelphia Flyers who happen to be in first place, they will skate with Lord Stanleys cup this year. Now you may educate me pertaining to a rumor floating around Philadelphia it goes like this, If the B's don't win the cup this year the team will move to Minnesota and become a curling fanchise, any truth to that. Sorry didn't see the Leafs game. I did see Lindros score as the Primeau tree stood there. Granted his shooting skills have improved....he was able to hit an empty netter to seal the game. :-)

JonR: Philly has a team? First place you say? And they're still willing to carry the Stanley Cup around the ice for the soon to be Champion Bruins? Wow, that certainly IS the city of Brotherly Love!

Guys, c'mon! When Hull,Hasek, and Robitaille were signed wasn't that enough? Add Williams and Datsyuk to the fray. Nobody matches up with them. The only team that can beat them is themselves! Who could deny Scotty another ring! I want to see an Original Six Stanley Cup! Forget Philly. They're a disappointment. Always will be too!

Not a big Detroit fan by any stretch, but I am no fool either. One of the guys in work was shooting his mouth off about Carolina when they won the first game in OT. I bet 1 case to 2 of beer that Detroit would come back and win four straight....one to go (I can taste those two cases of Guinness now)!
