Politician uses beer pong as fundraiser

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - It's a game familiar on college campuses, but it's not too often you see beer pong at a political fundraiser.

Freshman Representative Dan Winslow held "Beer Pong and Politics," a unique and slightly controversial fundraiser Monday night at the Battery Park Bar and Lounge in Boston.

Technically, there was only water in the cups, but Winslow says the idea was to attract young voters.

While it was hit with all those in attendance, many wondered if a drinking game was appropriate.

Rep. Winslow says the event was a big success, thanks in part to their social media marketing.

Winslow asked for donations of $100, $250 or $500.
