Is a world wide economic crash imminent? The guy in the link below thinks we are headed there.

Imminent ?

That would be future tense usage of the word?

I believe a word used in past tense is probably in order...

Exactly, Wheel, we're in the midst of it already but you have to be a small business owner or non- government worker in the front lines to understand that.

Which is a good segue into another notable quote:

A hungry man is an angry man, and a hungry, angry man is a dangerous man. - Richard Russell

Cracka please...what we've seen in the last 3 years was just a preview.

I personally think the powers that be will keep propping up the system for a few more years. My guess is that the real huge crash will come once currency goes electronic. It already is, to an extent. The Federal Reserve just hits a few buttons on a computer and creates billions of dollars. All really big money transfers are done through computer. No actual cash ever changes hands. And banks have been loaning out money they don't actually have for like 100 years now. Fractional reserve lending and the abandonment of the gold standard have turned the monetary systems of the entire world into a house of cards.

We're rearranging deck chairs on the sinking Titanic, frogs in the gradually boiling water, (fill in your favorite bromide here), etc.
The fact is, we've been in this mode since 9/11/01 and no one really knows how or when the final, neck crunching, head jolting, crash will come until it happens. Beer

A final currency manipulation by the Chinese compounded by an unforeseen string of natural disaster(s) may spark the end within a few years. In the meantime, we wallow in economic quicksand up to our necks.Drool

Then again, I think the Redskins will make it to the playoffs.Blink

I love the smell of internationalist condescension early in the morning- even as what they love most ($$$$) flies south.

Good start, but handguns are for fighting your way to your battle rifle(s). 5.56, 7.62 or .308. Your choice, or even better, at least one of each.
