Bought a box of Lonsdales from T and it's one of the best mild smokes I've had but can't seem to find any other info about them and T seem to be the only place I have found them at. Has anyone tried any of the other sizes or know any more about this brand?

La Villa de Chavon, are made in the Dominican Republic. There is also a Primo del Rey Chavon, also from the DM. Which one is it?

I don't believe that they are either... the only thing that I can find is Girbes-Rodriguez SA Girosa on the label inside

xdog... wondered about that... looks like a lot of their "specials" are inventory that they buy up as closeouts or product that the manf. can't move elsewhere... however I have been happy with the Chavons

man o man, i didnt even say a name of a place!! how can i talk about them without saying what they are or remotely where theyre from?? im talking about the cigars strictly and am not at all endorsing another site or saying names. "T" could be toronto, tennessee, tribeca, talahassee, etc... sorry for the controversy!

Be that as it may ... it isn't allowed here.

Not to beat a 'dead horse' (which I seem to be doing, and I apologize) but the guidelines state, "Some examples of unreasonable messages may include the use of profanity, advertising or commercial purposes, competing web sites, and disparaging an individual, a company or another website.

jgjam ... what's so hard about just saying 'from another company or site?'

I know that I've run it into the ground ... so this is the last I'll post or respond on this subject. You guys can interpret Cigarbid's guidelines which ever way suits you best ...

Just use good judgment and posts won't be censored (and you won't risk Slim's wrath).

Slim is right, it's not hard to be a little thoughtful about what you post. Cigarbid is in the business to make money. Allowing open discussions about competitors is suicide. Think before you post. And don't get your panties in a bunch when you are corrected. Bunch of sissies. Sheesh. TOUGHEN UP!!!

Wow ... you mean I was actually right for a change? All it takes is good common sense, I guess ... ;-)

...oh, and thanks 'Meany'. I guess your nice side has to come out once in awhile ... hehehe!

Now go bar-b-que something!

"all it takes is common sense" ... well, one thing I've noticed about common sense is that it isn't all that common ...

I will now state that "T" stands for Tennessee. Tennessee is no competitor, other website name or anyother garbage. Is everyone happy? I am not complaining, nor do I have to toughen up. Ive done enough of that in my life. Get over the whole rules and regulation thing. If you see a light turning yellow and hit the gas instead of stopping and make it under in time, did you break the law? Tell me where I said another name of a site or competitor? Im not here to argue, but please stop policing for things that arent broken law.

Let's try again... by the "rules"...
I recently purchased some cigars by the brand name of "Chavon" from a competitors web site (who will remain nameless and by admission of this very fact would indicate a lack of poor judgement on my part for the initial purchase)

However... be that as it may the smokes were excellent but I find myself in the unfortunate position of being unable to replenish the stock from Cigar Bid or correctly identify from which company who initially manufactured the cigars. All that was asked was help in this identification and possibly a suggested substitute from the many varied and wonderful brands offered by Cigar Bid and conducting the most capitalistic of our freedoms, to enter into profitable commerce. But alas... the "experts" who faithfully monitor the forum appear to be well versed in rules and regulations but less knowledgeable in cigars. I do take comfort however that with the free society that we live in, individuals such as the "experts" may find worlds of opportunity as censors that would make best use of their talents. How ironic that some supposed free-spirited cigar smokers feel obliged to meekly "play by the rules" set forth a governing authority. For myself, to descend to this level leaves be feeling cheap, dirty and disgusted. Fortunately DaveyG posesses a backbone and provides others a model to emulate in dealing with individuals with rigid views and closed minds. For demonstrating this he is set upon by others and effectively chastised as a non-conformist... in my mind a true badge of a cigar smoker. Bravo Davey G!
As for the rest... while I can't agree with your opinions, I respect and and even encourage your freedom to express yourselves.
For myself... I think I need a good smoke!

Thanks JGIAM for gettin my back. I understand the rules and have no problem abiding by them as long as they are not abusevly enforced. I try to keep an open mind and defend those that deserve it. In my eyes I cant see how the rules were broken. People see the rules here in some abstract litigator like sense. Yeah, "T" is definitely incriminating text. Does it say any sort of name? What is the name that is derived from "T"??? Does anyone have the answer? Some one here asked me "Who made you the defender of the underdog?". I say that I did. Everyone has a right to a defense if they are all going to be lawyers about it. Enough said.

Im sorry, I didn't understand your T***** word. See where I'm going? There is no name mentioned. Also, I think that everyone knows what we're talking about here. People know other vendors as well as this one. Do people think that if it isnt mentioned at all here in even implication, that people are going to just forget about it?? Lets all be real here and not be lawyers. Answer me this question and lets end all this garbage...DID I BREAK ANY RULE TECHNICALLY HERE? NO INTERPRETATIONS...NO B.S....NO "WELL MAYBE"...DID I OR NOT? AND DONT TELL ME I IMPLIED IT OR ANY OTHER SPECULATIVE GARBAGE. ANSWER THAT QUESTION WITH A ONE WORD ANSWER...YES OR NO. There were no names mentioned or any other garbage. Lets all cut the crap here.

Oh come on now ... do you think we are all idiots?

Implied is exactly what it is, and we all know exactly what company you are talking about. I know this is extremely petty, but seems to me that a few here like to push the envelope to see how far they can go in talking about competing websites.

It's just bad taste as far as I'm concerned ...
