New crafty item created for the last herf we did.

Doh! These are zipper pulls. Base is a fishing spinner with a swivel hook as the hardware.

I've made some updates to the original. Pablo gifted me a huge back of bands that have contributed heavily.
Tank laughs when I hit the sporting goods department now.

I think that's great, very clever use of the bands. I've done a few ashtrays using them to cover the bottom board which becomes the ashing bowl under a pc. of glass. If you run low on bands let me know and I'll see what I've got @ the time.

Actually, I make earrings. I thought that they'd be kinda neat as earrings.....

Rich, I've seen some of your work and it's very nice. And while being silly here Ms Tank and I were PMing b n forth regarding that she had done both ear rings and necklaces. I think they're cool

You'd have to ask Pablo - all of these bands came out of what he sent me. Of course, since Tank is a Gurkha fan, I'm quite used to seeing those.

and there are only 3 Gurkha ones in the photo... along with 3 opus x's...



I realize that jewelry is not something the guys might be interested in (not that there would be anything wrong with that if they were) so my decision was to make them into zipper pulls for duffles, jackets, or whatever.

I'm not sure how long they'd hold up. There is a sealer on it, but I'd still avoid submerging them for any length of time.

Mrs. Tank......I still think these are a great idea!!! My S-I- Law would wear the ear rings......they'd go well with her cigar box purse I made for her.
