$100 after yesterday's results? Applause
...or is it just a fluke? After all, he couldn't even carry his home state of Pennsylvania last time.
Love him or hate him at least he remains true to himself & speaks from the heart UNLIKE some others who conveniently change their minds. (cough cough)

Everything is under control.

"American Idol" and "The Voice" have both started their seasons. Christina has put on a few pounds and there appears to be some controversy there.

The majority of PA voters tend to vote whichever way their union/ AARP blurbs/ community organizers tell them to vote.

imho, Santorum and Paul are the only genuine people running. Paul is a bit off base, but Santorum has a good message and delivery. I think that it's starting to get through. I also appreciated his victory speech last night where we spent his time confronting Obama, and not the other Republican candidates ...

The latest poll on CBS last night showed Obama with 51% v. Romney, even with about 7% polled being undecided...

As a NOW uninformed cbid political poster, the questions that plague me (besides the cure for athlete's foot) are:

Why was Santorum unceremoniously tossed out of Pa politics (lost senate seat to Casey) by a record 17 point margin? Was he just a victim of the national anti-incumbency mood at the time?

WHY does he think that running for the Presidency will be any easier???

And finally, didn't he once endorse the corrupt Arlen Specter for President? Yeah, yeah, he justifies it by saying that Specter (head of judiciary committee) would be more likely to pass Dubya's appointees, yada yada yada.

Santorum... can't get elected. He may be the anti Obama, but too much so, in that he can't get many of the independent voters to go for him. Doesn't matter how good he does in the republican primaries, in the main presidential election he would lose badly against Obama because he's too far off to the religious right.

Newt... hahahaha... He can put on a fiery speech, but his record is too all over the place for him to get the eventual republican nod.

Romney... ugh... The only reason that ____ of ____ has even a few votes is because he's already the "chosen" pick by all the major players. This primary was essentially decided before it began. Romney would win, and we will like it. From day one the news has presented him as the frontrunner and winner, so people have largely accepted that fact, despite the fact that nobody likes him! .... really, are the republicans trying to lose? I've got an idea, lets choose someone who looks like a corporate raider as our standard bearer to go against socialists, er i mean democrat incumbent, right after occupy wall street... BRILLIANT!!!!!

Paul... well open disclaimer, I like the guy. Unfortunately he's definitely a different drink of water. I think its the water we need to cure what ails us, but too many folks are still unwilling to give up their sugary pop addiction and give water a try for a change. (meanwhile popping another diet pill cuz they can't lose weight.... I digress...)

Now what could be interesting is how many delegate votes Paul has been getting... It could very well force a Romney-Paul ticket at the end.... BUT I don't think Paul would ever go for it, too much of a compromise to his values!

well folks, that's all :)

Remember, if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got! This election and the sorry state of our economy is no different!

Maybe Santorum is not so bad.....

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday accused President Barack Obama of actively seeking ways to allow Iran to gain a nuclear weapon and suggested that the administration had betrayed Israel by publicly disclosing what may be a plan to attack the Muslim nation.

Santorum drew connections between the administration's opposition to the Keystone pipeline project, which would bring oil from Canada to U.S. refineries, and American dependency on foreign oil and U.S.-Israel relations.

"We're throwing Israel under the bus because we know we're going to be dependent upon OPEC," Santorum said during a speech in Oklahoma City. "We're going to say, `Oh, Iran, we don't want you to get a nuclear weapon - wink, wink, nod, nod - go ahead, just give us your oil.' Folks, the president of the United States is selling the economic security of the United States down the river right now."

When I speak to clients on on videocam, I wear my Obama mask. It gives them a feeling of hope when I wiggle my ears and say YES you CAN!

As a lifelong Pennsylvanian, I will say that I will vote against Santorum. I'm just hoping there's a 3rd option.

ha. no, proudly I would not recognize his voice, I don't think.

I did so love that siren at noon on Fridays in the late fifties and sixties. It meant the school week was almost over, or so I thought then. Happy days.

What did you expect? Can't run on the economy. Free rubbers & pills are always a crowd pleaser.

Btw, Santorum has taken the lead as the Republican in quite a few polls.
