I want you guys to know, I thought about all of you today ... I know, fat lot of good it did any of you, but it's true ... went by one of my favorite local cigar stores that was having a special event ... a whole roast pig had been barbecued (begun at 5 this morning) and some fabulous marinated and smoked ribs were served as well in addition to some salads and on-site french fried taters ... the rep from Camacho was on hand to pass out some samples ... he gave me several, including a cigar he said was not yet on the market, but which I call to the attention of all you full-bodied smoke lovers ... from the same maker as Camacho, it was a presidente size LaFontana Vintage Colorado Maduro ... it was the icing on the cake, let me tell you. I'd already smoked a Camacho Havana going in, and a Camacho Corojo after having more than I should have to eat (but it was SO damn good!! ... gotta learn the secret of the marinade) ... he dug out the box of these beauties and said he'd like an opinion ... well, first couple of puffs, I knew I had a winner in hand ... full-bodied, but smooooth as silk ... as I chatted with some of the others in the store and in the parking lot out back where the food was, I couldn't help thinking what a fabulous event it would be if all of you could have been the crowd I was chatting with ... it would have turned a wonderful afternoon into a great one ...

I can't believe it, but we ate the whole damn thing!! no leftovers ... you guys will learn to be ontime, front and center when this sort of thing happens again. As for who I thought of specifically, well, let's just say that the company, while pleasant, could've been a lot more spirited ... take anyone or better yet, anyseveral from the bunch on here and it would've sure as hell had a lot more spirit ... and yeah, I know ... probably more spirits too, but that's a whole 'nuther topic ... if all you guys had been there, they'd be talkin' about us for a long time to come ... lol

true story, X ... true story ... fun, huh? ... actually, one of my sons is a county deputy here... and guess what? He works at the county jail (which, coincidentally, is only about a mile away from the cigar store) ... he's on duty there tonight, in fact ... you think I got enough juice with him to get us sprung? Damn, I sure HOPE so!!

Oh, and by the way ... I didn't even mention the gal who works at the jewelry store next door to the cigar store ... she's ALWAYS coming over when there's lots of fun sounding guys around on Saturdays ... she provides LOTS of decoration ... her coming by is a damn good check on the ol' blood circulation system, if you know what I mean. And she came by about 3 times while I was there ... and my blood was circulating just fine, TYVVM.

Hey.........were there any scantily dressed women there for ambience or just the usual guys who frequent these things. I am jealous.........my Sat. was spent in the first part by going to my local cigar shop my ex-boss owns then doing yard work and then going back into town with my wife to eat at our favorite Greek restaurant.
