Is shipping from cbid getting slower... items from last weeks closing (Wednesday and earlier last week) just shipped yesterday...thought stuff used to ship within 1-2 days at end of the week and rcvd early the following... has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, I noticed a definite slowdown shortly after the change from Friday to Thursday for weekly shippers.

You are all just too anxious ... UPS ground takes 7 to 10 days (I work in shipping), and believe me, they will take that time. Even if they are next door ...
In my job, I work with various 'freight forwarders', to 35+ different countries. Yes ... they take their sweet time ... and it is out of CB's control.

yep ... watch the UPS tracking and you'll find that's where the problem is ... if I check the UPS tracking #, I find it sits a while before getting out of town at that end, then tends to sit in the NorCal center for a day and sometimes two before being broken out for my local dist. center ... there, it gets on a truck and arrives almost at once ... on the rare instances where my shipment is so small it goes via the post office, it gets here extremely quick ... always by Tues, sometimes by Mon and once on SAT!! ... that was the week I had one come on Fri from the week before, then another the next day ... MrsS was quite up in arms over too many cigars ...

I not talking about the in-transit time ... my last shipment didn't leave cbid until yesterday ... it took them almost a week just to prepare the order for shipment

I have definitely noticed a slow down. I used to get My packages the same week and now over the past 3 weeks, I have been getting them the week after. They should ship on Tuesday or Wednesday so the cigars wont sit in transit so long. Im concerned about them getting too hot (in transit and sitting on the trucks over the weekend) and getting beetles or dried out. This is a legit concern of mine lately. Just the other day, my shipment came in hot as hell. Next time I think I'm gonna complain about this issue, not because I'm impatient, but because I dont want my lovelies ruined by the summer elements. Anyone agree??

For weekly shippers, I would say at least 80% of these shipments go out the door same day on Thursday. If the warehouse is not extremely busy, they all go out Thursday. On busy weeks, the remaining 20% spill over to ship on Friday. But they never get held up until the next week, unless it's a national holiday or there's a problem.

jgjam: there must have been something unusual with yours if it was delayed, if it's ever delayed like that contact Trish or Mike in customer service.

There have been times when I thought it took a little longer. But when I check my winnings I realize they were waiting and including other bids. The ship date related to the last item won is 1 to 2 days. Then it takes a while to get here. I think most times I'm just too anxious to get my goods so it feels like longer.
