Back in the day when children were raised in a traditional and stable home we didn't have near the problems that we do now.

Why is this a problem? I have a mother, father and a step-mother. With all of the divorces over the past couple of decades it’s hard to find a family with just two parents. And there were always problems back in the "good old days" you just didn't hear about them as much.Frying pan

I was just trying to make a point that not all multi-parent families are a bad thing and that the "good old days" are frequently viewed through rose colored classes.

I guess I understand some of the opposition against this proposed piece of legislation and the agendas on both sides of these types of issues. I always see these pieces of legislation being no more that the politicians trying to make hay over something that truly affects very few people in the US.
