Want to reduce airport wait times and intrusive searches while reducing TSA'a budget by at least 80%? Replace all the backscatter X-ray machines and screening stations and have a screener go to each gate with a plate of fresh, hot fried bacon, want on the plane, have a slice! No? let's go in this room over here and discuss why.

Why am I supposed to be more concerned with what Romney does with his money than what Obama does with mine?

If Romney wins, ever liberal on these boards is going to jump on every misstep he makes crowing about how we loved him so much, in SPITE of the fact that he's the presumptive mominee due to the 80% of the Tea Partiers and Republicans who wanted "anybody but Romney" not being able to agree on WHO that should be. (Full disclosure, former Cain campaign worker)

I keep seeing OBAMA 2012 stickers on cars, and wonder what success story they are the most impressed with. It it the continued 8%+ unemploymernt rate? the Coal mines shutting down and the miners being laid off because of increased EPA regulation? GM on the verge of Bankruptcy again? All those lovely things in Obamacare that we had to "pass the bill to find out what's in it" that keep coming to light? The "most transparent administration in history" that accepted an award for being such in total secrecy, did NOT put debate on Obamacare on C-Span, and claimed executive privilege when the DoJ was supoenaed for documents pertaining to Fast and Furious? Maybe they like that Obama has basically ignored a Federal Judges order to resume drilling in the Gulf of Mexico (they go through the motions, did anybody note the FIRST drilling permit that was actually issued was not issued to a US company, but BP, whose debacle Deepwater Horizon was). Maybe they're impressed by the $5 billion dollar loan we made Petrobras (a heavily George Soros invested state run company) in Brazil, to dril at extreme ocean depths, while banning US companies from drilling at those depths anymore, further saying he hopes we become Brazil's biggest oil customer! Maybe it's because he shut down the Keystone XL II pipeline project, (despite that the worst pipeline is still environmentally safer than the tankers that will be bringing us Brazilian crude) so we CAN'T remain Canada's best oil customer (of couse, as long as there's NOT a pipeline, trucking companies and rail lines heavily invested in by subsidiaries of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffet's company will continue to have a lock on transporting Canadian tar sand crude at a much higher cost, wonder why Warren Buffet was playing so nice with Obama?). Of course, I COULD ask, but then I'd just be treated to a ditribe about how I'm just a racist who can't stand a black man in the White House (See Full Disclosure above).

I'm BAAAA-ACK!

Okra! Something I almost never cook, and something that when I’ve had it, is cooked into slime.

The key to cooking okra is to not cook it too much. Saute it in a tablespoon of canola oil in a hot pan, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes if you want some heat, till tender but still crunchy. When I was working on Return To Cooking with Eric, he sauted them this way and served them on mahi mahi with a citrus vinaigrette. They’re delectable. Truly, and so rarely do I eat them, they taste and feel like a delicacy when prepared this way.

Or, cook okra the southern way, dipped in butter milk or egg, rolled in a corn-meal-mixture and fried. That’s delicious, too. Goes great with Carolina barbecue!

Okra? What brought that up?!?!?!?

But since it IS brought up, I can't stand slimey okra either! Fry it until it's nice and crunchy for me! I bcan handle it in small amounts in gumbo, but otherwise, just fry mine!
