Thanks for the tips NIck,
I didn't realize about the little sucker leaves around the flower, The robbing of energy is now showing. The Burley plants are much larger now, but flower later, this will really help with them.
I thought about the oils and washing them, but they were really bad as a few rains had pounded the dirt up on the undersides, many lower leaves had already been thrown away, ruined. Most will be novelty gifts in "bombs".
I actually plan on the better leaves now left ( worm attack got to 'em while visiting family this weekend, along with washing the Bt off), ...........using them to send to Lou2row, as he can make some really cool ashtrays from them.
If I can do this again next year, I will do things a little differently, you just helped out with another brother on here, lives in South TX, he could actually grow a few through the late fall, might could start now, depending on the winter and his frost/freeze date.
Prayers be that I get well enough physically and financially, I will take you up on the visit to Central America.
Thanks again, my friend, CB is correct, not sucking up, but I will look for your cigars that I prefer in the future, still working on my palate/desires. Prefer sweet, medium/strong, but not spicy, and most maduros are too earthy? for my desires.
