I think that since the boom ended that it would be tough for two cigar magazines to make it in the market. CA probably has felt the squeeze and are seemingly grapsing in desperation trying to keep up readership. Smoke on the other hand is weathering the storm, and have not compromised their integrity, and I think just from reading other people's commnents here, will not only survive, but continue to grow. CA has the name recognition, and that is its biggest plus, but I think more and more people who discover Smoke, will in the least subscribe to it as well as CA, and many like myself drop CA, and only get Smoke, but call me crazy for I will still probably subsribe to Cigar Insider, though I don't know where they come off charging what they do for it. I guess they figure there are a few hardcore nuts that will buy it. And now the CA cheapos are trying to cut cost even furhter buy trying to persuade readers to get their issues via email, if I'm going to pay the price to subscribe to it, I am at least going to make them go to the trouble to send me a physical copy and have someone put it in the mail to me. Recently CI was promoting Smoke, as about two months ago, I received about four copies of the same issue as everytime I bought cigars I got a free copy of the magazine, I hope that promotion helped Smoke.
