I know there are a few of you out there in the Houston area, mhollaw, el, and a few others. "The Smoke Inn" will have Opus X this week with a daily limeit of 4. They are reasonably priced ($8-$15), not internet priced, so get some for the 4th and celebrate! I may just smoke one today that I've been aging for the past year in anticipation of getting another. BTW, if they get the Padron 1926 in this week, they are mine so stay away. lol Barry

Would that be $15 for the Perfexion A?

I haven't seen the "A" there but I got the Reserva de Chateau for $15 last year. It's the churchill size, 48 x 7 I think. They've also had in the past, the #4,#5, and Petit Lancero. Barry

Barry: Thanks for the heads-up. I was looking for a way to celebrate my working retirement. You might just have shown me the way. Thanks.

I don't think you'll find the "A" for $15 since the MSRP on that one is $25. Enjoy, ORV

...picked up four Opus X, different sizes at Smoke Inn after work today, none under $12, two Hemingway Signatures for $8 each and a Henry Clay for $5, a cigar I don't see very often. Toured the walk-in humidor and got a free house brand toro. Nice place.

No doubt! Ya know I didn't even realize it wasn't taxed when I first started, then about the third time into the brew shop I noticed he didn't charge sales tax.So I asked him why,he said cause it's considered food.Yeah baby! I'm gonna like this Home Brew Biz...LOL

jj...I meant the tax the government charges on beer. Homebrewing is also a great family activity. Everyone in the family gets some job and capping night is very busy...The best advice I ever got was to sterilize the bottles in the dishwasher before you draw off the second fermentation and bottle directly from the dishwasher. We never had a bad batch.

M, I knew that. Here in Cali they also don't charge sales tax. BTW I have moved on from bottling to 5 gal kegs,it's the only way to go! Most home brewers use the old 5 gallon cornelius kegs from the soda industry. No mo bottles for me. :^)
