CIA Director Petraeus resigns less than 1 week before he was set to testify in the Benghazi terrorist debacle.

There has got to be a "conspiracy" here, right?

^. This.

I don't think there is a conspiracy but do think the election factored in on timing.

He still is on the hook, if there is a hook.

Good Morning America "woke up" two days after the election and postulated for the first time there could be some kind of cover-up in the Libya thingie.

Nobody wanted to save those poor people in the Lybian consulate. They were collateral campaign damage.
But on a positive note, the video criminal mastermind behind the riot was caught and given an year in jail. Mission accomplished.

Prolly' didn't like the order to take it in the butt from his old boss.

They can still ask him to testify, perhaps as a citizen he can be more candid.

Agreed. Back in the day I saw several military careers go down in flames over affairs. As long has there's no supervisor-subordinate relationship, it always seemed to me that tearing a marriage/family apart was punishment enough, it's just stupid to pile on criminal charges and job loss for sex between consenting adults. That said, Patraeus always seemed to be an arogant horse's ass so haha.

I think that my concern is not whether he was being butt-fxcked in a wig wearing a WAC uniform by a lady with fake sideburns but who was the (greater) LIAR & who failed the heroic Benghazi victims- Obama, Clinton, or him.

Circular logic. If he wasn't going to lose his job, he'd be less susceptible.

Not sure I understand.
So you're saying he quit because he was responsible (or sacrificed himself as a scapegoat)? Otherwise, he would have remained as CIA Director-in-hump?

I am more interested what he will testify to and the soap-opera about whether he stays with the gf- or dumps her and tries to stay with his wife.

She was actually kind of cute for that weasel. He prolly never got the call for help from Benghazi on account of a 7 hour diarrhea.

1) It is a security issue (not necessarily a leak)

2) the way the media sweeps things under the rug for the Kenwaiian this needs to be watched.

3) the administration loves distractions.........so whats going on behind door #3?

When are you right wing wackos going to finally give up on all this coverup and conspiracy theory crap? The President has been re-elected. For the first time in history, all is right with the universe. Stop trying to kill our buzz.

No one says that. But jumping to there is a conspiracy is just as bad as that. We need the facts. But many will argue we never will thus forever giving them a conspiracy to grab on to.

I'm of the impression the FBI knew of the affair and the resignation was timed to not impact the election. I wasn't aware the press knew about it previously. That's OUTRAGEOUS!

Gotta say though if this prez is so good at conspiracy and cover up (he was born in Kenya and planted birth announcements in Hawaii, hides the fact he is Muslim, he wants to kill old people, especially the white ones). You'd think he'd be good at at least one other thing. Any sane person would see through all this shut if they were not blinded by free stuff and stuff.

Conspiracies take skill and are few. They do exist but in this day and age not as much as the wackos think.

I remember when ricka maven was the one wearing the fool hat.

That said if everything is a conspiracy your bound to get one right sooner or layer. Dock Morris called an election right once too.

Interesting that cantor knew about it well before the election.

This thing does smell but maybe for reasons we don't know yet. Maybe opposite reasons.
