Hey you Cigar Cognoscenti, heres a question:
I've got a Big Ben Humidor and live in Salt Lake City, where its dry as hell. In addition to using a mixture of 50-50 and distilled water every week I have added a second humidifier sponge to the lower compartment.
In spite of this, both analog and digital gages read 67%, and I can't seem to get them higher. The humidor seems to have a great seal.
Am I?:
A) Too anal, and should be happy with 67%
B) In possession of faulty gages that need
recalibration
C) In need of a better humidification system
D) Using too much distilled water and should just
use the 50-50 stuff
On an unrelated topic I just want to say that lately I have been smoking Perdomo2s and think that they are one of the best smokes I have ever had. A recent trip to Canada has convinced me that Cubans are now too expensive and generally not that much better than many of the "legal" smokes I have been getting recently from Perdomos, Indian Tabacs, Avos, and the like.
