According to the survey, which was conducted Friday and Saturday, 53% of Americans say they approve of the job the president is doing, with 45% saying they disapprove. The president's approval rating was at 51% in CNN's last poll, which was conducted in early April.Well, yeah. Every damn thing that has happened on his watch, the first he's heard of it is when the press asks him a question about it. I still sleep well knowing that, like OJ after the murders, he is scouring every golf course in the United States until he gets to the bottom of all these mysteries and scandals.
In his defense, he is pretty good at hosting parties, hanging out with Jay-Z, and Beyonce, making March Madness picks, putting together cool concerts at the White House, hosting Super Bowl parties, going on The View ... So that, apparently, is the "fundamental transformation" of the Commander in Chief's job. And if that is the case then yes, his "job approval rating" should be sky high.
Hopefully, pretty soon, ESPN will let him know gas is more than $4 a gallon, and we just had some big-ass tornadoes that leveled some towns and killed some folks
In the meantime, if we could just round off the corners a little more, where the primary function of the President of the United States is to hunt, fish, drink beer and smoke cigars, I think I have a better than average shot in 2016.
