NEW YORK, June 2 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President Clinton called President Obama "incompetent" and "an amateur," a new book out this week alleges.

Edward Klein's new book, "The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House" (Regnery Publishing) also states campaign sources said Clinton extracted a promise from Obama to support his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for president in 2016 in return for the former president's backing in 2012, the New York Post reported Sunday.

In a piece for the Post adapted from his book, Klein said in 2011 Bill Clinton wanted Hillary to challenge Obama in 2012, a gambit she declined. Klein said two people who attended the meeting with the former president in Chappaqua, N.Y., recounted how Bill Clinton then went on a tirade against the sitting president.

"I've heard more from Bush, asking for my advice, than I've heard from Obama," Klein said his sources quoted Clinton as saying. "I have no relationship with the president -- none whatsoever. Obama doesn't know how to be president. He doesn't know how the world works. He's incompetent. He's an amateur!"

Klein said Obama resisted giving Bill Clinton a role in his re-election bid but went along with the advice of adviser David Axelrod when his race against Republican candidate Mitt Romney tightened.

Bill Clinton agreed to give a sterling endorsement of Obama with Obama agreeing to do the same for Hillary Clinton, said Klein, a former Newsweek foreign editor and ex-editor in chief of The New Times Magazine who has written books about Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Kennedys.

For once, Bill tells the truth.

But also a tool for selling his soul.

I wonder how this would have affected the election, if it came out last fall? Of course this will be another non-news item for the alphabet networks.

So Bill is willing to sell his soul for his party, and possible political gain. Why does that not surprise me?

So the commander-in- whore with credibility issues said Obama was incompetent, amateurish,w/o friends, blah blah, blah... Slick apparently got more respect & attention from Bushie Jr, after he left the Stained House, boo hoo frickin' hoo!

I believe Mr. Clinton's made amends of late & lathered Barry up for his support in Hillary's 2016 presidential run.
That's the slimy political way, my friends.Liar

+1,000,000

They all sell their souls when they get into politics. Hillary is DOA anyway. She has about as much of a chance in 2016 as BO had in 2012. Sarcasm

Soetoro had the advantage of being anonymous politically in 08 and plenty of Bush angst.

Hilldog doesn't enjoy that luxury, and if she runs her Bengazi testimony will be on repeat.

This I actually a fine endorsement. Clinton is incapable of telling the truth. Can't trust him or his bent Penniis.

The Kenyan King IS incompetent!

Congrats for Bubba stating the obvious! If only the rest of the blinking dimwits would nut up and proclaim what most already know too!

There's nothing good that's come form these clownshoes. NOTHING.

Oh, there's gonna be fools that blubber..."but, but he saved the economy!"...ok, if you want to make that claim...bring your cash and credit cards and meet up with me and we'll have a little "experiment" where I spend YOUR cash and tell you what a great time you're having.

Notice he didn't take me up on the offer to spend HIS money and tell him what a great time he's having?

Puppies. The other Obama meat. It's what's for dinner.

Why me? I was agreeing that the Big O is incompetant and saying Bill's statement was about as groundbreaking as saying puppies are cute.

I'm not drawing the connection between that, my credit cards or your flawed metaphor you find so clever. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to go check my 401K balance (it was a 201K a couple years back.

LOL

you must be bored. When I saw there was over 24 hours between posts on the politics board I figured someone would come in to argue with themselves and tie it to someone else.

you were on the short list but potts had me worried for awhile.

your apology is accepted.

by the way... my supply chain is empty/dry..... that's the bad news. the good news is that leaves an empty keezer available for a lager experiment.

While I did enjoy Le HockeyDad's lagering experiments I chose not to go down that path. I'd rather just buy that and stick to the ales. I prefer to make clones of Tres Pistoles and will have to venture out to La Fin Du Monde eventually...hell, HD's Chimay Blue is a work of art by itself. You cannot tell the difference it's THAT damn good.

I was looking at the Smashing Pumpkin Ale and adding pumpkin filling to the pot...IDK...My supply line has been EMPTY and I need to get off my ass and do something about that. I'm tired of paying for beers.

Fin du Monde clone currently carbonating in the bottles.
Scotch ale in secondary ready for bottling.

Amarone red wine currently clarifying.

Sangiovese/cabernet savignon blend next - maybe start it today (Sangiovese is the predominant grape in chianti)

I use extracts + stepping grains. I don't want to invest the space for an all-grain set-up/
