I tell you what, I believe Torano is the most under rated cigar company. While Fuente is busy attending banquets and receiving awards, Torano is quietly making some of the finest cigars in the businses. Yesterday at my local tobacconist I saw a box of their Exodus cigars, torpedo. The gorgeous thick box had 3 layers of cigars and two removable trays. Looking at the cigars I have hardly seen anything like it, every single cigar in construction and appearance was absolutely flawless! All I could find was one very teeny tiny sunspot on one wrapper. So either they have some of the best rollers to be found or maybe there are going to be many seconds. The wrapper is a dark, oily and choclate brown and gives off a sweet scent which gave me hunger pains, every wrapper was perfect in appearance and obviously carefully selected, no need to color match with these, even the bands are exceptional. The price for the box was only $70 so I gave it a good home in my cabinet. The final step of course will be to smoke one, but except for Grand Nica, I have never smoked a Torano I didn't give high marks to. I believe that this has to be one of the best values out there, the box alone is something you would see Perdomo use for their $200 cigars.

These are great cigars, although I prefer the Signature line. Those sun-grown Brazilian maduro wrappers!

I agree, those signatures are pretty damn good. No need to age them either. I had one in New Orleans this January, and it was tasty.

Whereas cigar tastes are subjective,I found the CT Sig. Churchill to be a little harsh. I have some taking a nap to see if they will improve. I have tried the CTX 1959 Torp.,I think it is a better cigar but I have to say,I wasn't all that impressed by it. I have only tried one,so for me to form a more solid opinion,I'm going to have try a few more.JMHO. X

I've got a box (or what's left of it) of the 1959 Exodus robustos. You definitely need to smoke more than one as they are not completely consistent in flavor. The ones that are on are great while some are only so so. ORV

Has anyone tried their Nicaraguan Selection? I think the Signatures are execellent cigars. Torano currently has the best rollers out there.

godad, sounds like to me you need to keep your cigar in your mouth more like a pacifier because of some of the ignorant things that you spew out when you take it out.

Godad, I'm not sure what you're pointing out, but if you're calling Aberdeen a "rookie", you're mistaken. He's been around here since the beginning of time. Now, if you're a "rookie", welcome!

Cliffie, I am sorry but has that always been your screen name? As you seem to know my first name but I just can't place the Cliffie, I'm great with faces, bad with names, and since we can't see faces much here, I'm just plain bad.

He used to be CL, remember now? He had an identity crisis ... and now he want to be Cliffie ...

Actually, he had to get rid of is old Yahoo email account, because it was sending out viruses. I'm not sure why he had to change his handle though ...

Since I changed my Yahoo account, I just changed my screen name to be consistent. Not that it matters to anyone but me.

Aberdeen, yes, I was "CL"; you knew me as "Cliff" when we traded about two years ago. I believe you sent me some Lars Tetens, I sent you some Perdomo2 from my 1st ever c-bid purchase. I visited my sister in CO and phoned to say I'd stop by your store but I ran out of time due to family stuff! Next trip to CO, I'll visit for sure. NOW if you don't remember me, my feelings will be hurt.

Identity crisis for sure. I thought c-bid deleted "CL". Carry on.

righto, yes I did enjoy that Perdomo. Must have lost a lot of friends with the virus fiasco. For a while there everyone under the sun it seemed was sending me that dams klez or whatever it was called virus. Norton anti virus has protected me so far, what killed my computer was gd AOL! I have xp and loaded up AOL 7.0 as I used that on my old imac rubbish, and AOL took over my Sony computer and I had to remove everything from the hard drive and reload the entire computer to be able to wash my hands to AOL.
