the nsa, while monitoring 300 million people filed to find the one man, snowdon

whose only purpose in working a for subcontractor was to steal all their secrets

re snowden, under the constitution, did not committ treason

Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as

citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make WAR against,

or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often

considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government,

even if no foreign country is aiding or involved by such an endeavor.

REMEMBER WE ARE NOT AT WAR AND HAVE NOT BEEN SINCE THE CONGRESS

DECLARED WAR AGAINST JAPAN AND GERMANY DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR

At times, the term "traitor" has been used as a political epithet, regardless of any

verifiable treasonable action. At times, the term "traitor" has been used as a political

epithet, regardless of any verifiable treasonable action. In a civil war or insurrection,

the winners may deem the losers to be traitors. Likewise the term "traitor" is used in

heated political discussion – typically as a slur against political dissidents, or against

officials in power who are perceived as failing to act in the best interest of

their constituents.

The Treason Clause applies only to disloyal acts committed during times of war.

Acts of dis-loyalty during peacetime are not considered treasonous under the

Constitution. Nor do acts of Espionage committed on behalf of an ally constitute

treason.

For example, julius and ethel rosenberg were convicted of espionage, in 1951,

for helping the Soviet Union steal atomic secrets from the United States during

World War II. The Rosenbergs were not tried for treason because the United

States and the Soviet Union were allies during World War II.

most jobs require a skill test to see if a potential employee is capable of performing

a job for which he isbeing considered. shouldn't new members of congress or the

senate be required to pass a test to see if they understand the constitution they

are swearing to defend and protect.

posters on boards like this should not have to understand anything, bcause they are

entitled to any opinion they want, but not their own facts. facts stand on their own.

Ricka,

Thank you for declaring SNOWDEN IS NOT GUILTY OF TREASON but just to let you know....he hasn't been charged with treason.

Snowden has been charged with theft of government property, giving national defense information to someone without a security clearance, and revealing classified information about communications intelligence.

When you have a status on his parking tickets, let us know.

i have heard several repubicans, i can't tell one from another,

use the word treason refering to snowden. reminds me of the

pentagon papers explaining the tompkin bay lie and after that

55,000 young men average age about 20 lost their lives for

nothing. bush didn't invent mass murder of our youth but he

and cheney were well prepared to add to the total.

bush as a child used live frogs as hand grenades. i have never

read anything to explain why cheney loved torture.

This didn't happen under W's watch though did it?

This is Hope & Change.

This is the most transparent administration ever.

This is transforming America.

This is your Kenyan King doing all of this and more.

He's made W look like a wartime amateur. Look at all of the frays around the globe under his watch.

The real question you should be asking is why our government decides to outsource top secret material to 3rd parties that have a desire to just get a job to turn over her secrets.
