In an interview with the Daily Beast published Friday Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) suggested Tea Partiers are the "same group" who fought for segregation during the Civil Rights movement.


“It is the same group we faced in the South with those white crackers and the dogs and the police. They didn’t care about how they looked," Rangel said.

Because of this, Rangel said the Tea Party could be defeated using the same tactics employed against Jim Crow.

"It was just fierce indifference to human life that caused America to say enough is enough. ‘I don’t want to see it and I am not a part of it.’ What the hell! If you have to bomb little kids and send dogs out against human beings, give me a break,” said Rangel.

You can tell that Rangel is a student of revisionist history. BTW, didn't he just use a derogatory racial slur? Why isn't the media screaming for his resignation?

Did he say "cracker" or "cracka?" According to Trayvon's girlfriend they like changed the meaning like a few years ago or sumthin...so cracka (with the "a") is ok.

...sort of like the "n" word...as long it ends in "a" its coll.

^agree with snow wolf....One of the biggest proponents of segregation was George Wallece , a well known Democrat. The leader of the KKK during the civil rights fight over segregation was a Democrat....the list goes on... What a race baiter....change history to suit your needs... The sad thing is that people believe him because they do not have the education to realize he is rewriting history to suit his agenda.

Professional race hustlers like Charlie Rangel, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton just change the facts whenever it suits their agenda, and the media continues to give them credibility. Unfortunately it's been working like a charm. If you didn't know better, you'd swear that Bull Connor was still ordering fire hoses and attack dogs turned on blacks trying to peacefully integrate public schools.

I don't think you find any more in the Tea Party than the OTHER two parties that WE seem to keep voting for....please
