I see a pattern.....

Remember that the fossil record was planted by Satan, as we know the world in only 6,000 years old.

He is a tricky devil.

I embrace both;
Each man knows God in his own way (girls too).
And science is our best hope for our future.

This does not preclude misguided zealot folly . . . .

Nice dodge(s). You should go into politics.

On a lighter note, I bet your wife never wins an argument with you. And for that, sir, I give you a tip of the cap.

Thank you, but they aren't actually intended to be dodges. I try to be precise in my words, and it's much easier with writing to do so. I assume that if someone typed something, that is specifically what they meant.

You did call me dumb, in your little roundabout way. You are slyly denying it, but that's how you roll. This isn't the first time I've read your posts.

It isn't intended to be sly or roundabout. I state exactly what I mean. And if you read exactly what I say when I write :"Science" as an entity is simply a method of establishing theories based on repeated experiments and observations. To question that is ... well... kind of dumb." I mean specifically that. If you say "Oh, I still agree with the idea of basing theories on repeatable experiments and observations" then you don't fit in the group of people I call dumb. Very simple.

Quote:

Quit screwing around. You knew what I meant when I said 'questioning science'. And in case you (or anyone else) didn't know, I put 'specifically certain scientific theories' in parentheses. Like I said, distrust in certain theories or factions of the *scientific community* does not equal a distrust in science. Nobody is denying that the earth revolves around the sun, or the theory of gravity.

I'm not screwing around. We type this crap on a computer with an edit capability. I have to assume that when you type something, you are stating specifically what you mean. Why would you even call it "questioning science" when what you are now claiming to mean is "questioning specific theories using scientific methods and evidence"? These are two very different statements. I think you can understand the confusion there.

Quote:

I trust that the majority of scientists who studied Vioxx and declared it safe are lying, inhuman wackos. I trust that the majority of scientists working on bioweapons are sick f**ks.

... you do realize that sick F3cks can do great scientific work, right? That's no reason to not trust their outcomes. And as for scientists actively lying... when the scientific method is applied, these lies eventually are discovered as their work is found to not be reproducible. There's no reason to specifically have a distrust of "science". That's like saying "I don't put my money in banks, because a couple bankers embezzled."

Well, the religious Right does have the Creation Museum near Petersburg, Kentucky that presents man living with dinosaurs.

And in typical fashion if flys in the face of all known fact.

You just have to respect that level of ignorance - because it is dangerous . . . .

In your constant assault on Christianity, have you ever come across anyone who has been to the "Creation Museum"?

I think that was just a showing of Jurassic Park.

There are actually very few certified Zombies left...the living already whacked most of them.
