Just got this in an email from my Rep Joe Wilson!!!

As we look ahead to September, our nation has some very serious challenges ahead that must be addressed. This week, Congress returns to Washington with a full plate of issues including possible military intervention in Syria. Over the next few weeks, we will also vote on a measure to fund the federal government, which I will not support unless it includes the defunding of Obamacare. I look forward to updating each of you on what Congressional actions have been taken to protect American families in our next monthly update.

Enough with OBAMAcare already. It is time to move on and get this country moving forward.

All my reps send me in emails is stuff about Obamacare. I'm not sure why they are choosing to ride that horse when there are so many other issues. At least yours paid lip service to the Syria issue.

Simply ignore it for now because opponents to it lost. Next time opponents return to power, repeal it. We have a lot more important things to work on rather than fighting over a law that long ago passed. Holding the entire budget hostage over one this one issue is ludicrous; equivalent to a temper tantrum by a child who does not get his or her way. I would expect more zeal on a lot of issue more important to the extreme right.

Ironically I got a letter from my rep today stating his intention to not support action in Syria.

TG, the Syria issue gets my attention because of how much family I have in Lebanon. It is not the only issue I care about, however.

Actually in my opinion it was not legally passed. However i would not stop running the country over this issue.

As usual The Legal mind tries to persuade by changing the focus and making circumstantial arguments which in the end waste time and defeat many good intentions.

If it was not legally passed, then it is not constitutional and should be challenged on those grounds. Go for it. Get that issue in front of SCOTUS ASAP. You may be right.

So, if someone happens to disagree with what you think makes good sense, you consider them intelligent. Very interesting...

Yes, so much better to live in forward thinking, progressive bucket of $hit like California, Detroit, Chicago, etc. Dude, I'll take the country life any day over your progressive cesspools.

You can kiss the standard full-time 40-hour work week and salary goodbye. Soon to be replaced with a part-time 29-1/2hr week at a lower wage with no medical or retirement benefits. A decline in 401k contributions is sure to follow.
A program that's dependent on the youngest lowest-paid workers to participate in order to work is sure to fail. I'm sure those McDonald's workers can afford the inflated premiums instead of the fine.
It's the Hope & Change you voted for.

'Hope and Change' means we'd better 'Hope' that at least we have some 'Change' left in our pockets by the end of this administration.

Yes, but that is mandated by that other law, the Law of Unintended Consequences.* d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

jester Tin Foil Hat Warning: ON

* Unless, the insurance lobbyists that wrote the Obama care requirement to buy insurance were assisted by lobbyists from labor intensive business that assured a shrinking, no benefits work week escape hatch.

I live in a town of 5000 in Missouri. The only places I'd wanna live in less than SC is Chicago or Detroit and sure as hell not California. Columbia SC is one of the biggest $hitholes I've ever been in.

The funny thing is that one of THE largest public-sector ERP providers is based in South Carolina.

I've been to SC. My family has a place in SC. I'd probably move there before most other states in the nation.

I'd probably never be willing to live in the North East or DC. Between the liberal elitists, and the outrageous cost of living, I'd have to be nuts to move there.

Yeah, because having a 70 lb. lead weight around your ankle is a sure fire way to "move forward" quickly.
