China, the biggest foreign creditor of the United States, waded into the American budget crisis, warning Congress that it must resolve the political impasse over the debt ceiling without further delay.

Translation: Raise your debt ceiling, print more money to pay that debt thereby devaluing your currency even more so we can buy more American businesses cheaper.

We are going to default on our debt sooner or later. The Chinese would just like a little more time to wind down their position before we do it.

The US has unfunded liabilities that are over twice the total WORLD GDP. Estimates now say it is in excess of $200 trillion.

That solves a couple of problems:
1) At some point our planet will reach its human carrying capacity,
2) China steals more industrial ideas and produces clones at an ever increasing rate depriving patent and copyright owners of profits.

In one fell swoop, we make room for more Anglo-Saxons and we increase profits of American companies. Sorry Harbor Freight, unfortunetly you don't come out so well.
