i know she is probably much hated here, liberal, gay,

anything else you chose to hate her for being alive, but you can't

hate her because she and her staff are the best investigative people

on any news or commentary show. they turned up a non story about

a traffic jam in new jersey that grid locked an entire city for almost a week.

no other news station even mentioned it. she and her staff decided to look

Into it. turns out the new jersey city had a democratic mayor who failed to

Endorse christy in his run for governor and christy's office wante

pay back, revenge, against the mayor and his democratic city.

in order to get from the city to new York or anyplace they had to go to work and

the bridge had 3 lanes of traffic to allow for the massive flow coming from the city.

Without warning Monday two lanes of traffic were closed and the entire city was in

gridlock. 3 deaths were discovered because ems could not get to people who

Would not have died if the city was not in gridlock and the ems could have gotten

to them in time.

so why were the three lanes reduced to two. we were conducting some studies

several people who had the clout to shut the two lanes causing havoc. after

Several newspapers started their own investigation and emails were turned up

it traced back to the governor's chief of staff emailing something about "time for

trafic problems." the reply was "got it."

when the last bit of info came out, the governor disappeared without a comment.

Political payback is rife in this country, Rick. And it should not be condoned no matter which party is guilty.

Assuming that this report is accurate, to infer that only Republicans or only Democrats participate in political payback schemes is either pathetically naive or deliberately misleading.

So, it would seem that Cristy's office was responsible for creating a traffic jam.

This will not save Hillary from having to answer the hard questions about her role in the deaths of Americans in Benghazi Libya.

2 and 3, deflections speak volumes. if you believe both sides capable then comment with equal force when each side does it. No comparisons to something Dems have done are needed to decry this particular act of dangerous stupidity. Benghazi has nothing to do with the OP, and we have a Benghazi thead or two. The Op is not implying only one side is evil, and readers infer. You are correct, however, the inference should not be that only one is bad. I agree.

Lives could have and may have been lost if emergency vehicles were caught in this jam. This isn't a political stunt, this is horrendous judgement based on vindictiveness. It matters not who did it as philosophy, but it matters who did it as far as their qualification to lead or hold high office goes. It is not the Party that is guilty. You guys were quick to circle the wagons.

So let's hear you skewer the home team when they are guilty. Everyone talks about open mindedness and that others drink koolaid. Show your sense of fair play. Perhaps that's how logjams are opened.

EDIT:

I am not completely correct about the OP. I glossed over the Maddow portion because I am much more interested in the actual story than flashpoints.

Rick is a master at setting fires here, but I find him funny, others...not so much.

Like Hillary and Obama getting Americans killed and voting against the surge for political reasons.

For what it's worth, I hate them all in both parties and news people are right behind politicians.

Rick I think you off base about posters here hating someone because they are gay. You might be mistaking the infantile gay name calling, but that is not hate, you know what happens when you assume.

As a political hack, she did a decent job. Her back must hurt from all the patting she did. Did Christie orchestrate the who thing? No proof yet, but it sure looks messy. It's funny that she chose to finish her piece with commentary by a local paper who says Christie isn't fit to be President because he's a liar. When is her piece due out on Obama and his lies to get Obamacare passed?

Politics as usual. Not 2 cents difference between him and Hillary.

So Rick and Frank.

Opinions on liberal agenda 21 types narrowing roads that cause this same problem?

I despise Christie but he FIRED the person allegedly reaponsible. Hold him accountable for his actions. If we find out he had a hand in this fine skewer him. Bit don't get all high and mighty pretending this is some political travesty when at this time there is no evidence of it.

Now the railing I've done regarding BHO ia accumulative. When 20 things like this event come up about Christie I will agree completely with your view.

you'll never believe this but I don't watch MSNBC, don't even know for sure if that is the name of the network, and could not pick Maddow out of a lineup with C-Bid stars. I am aware o fher role in this world though.

To me the story is the high risk the public was put in due to politics but not the political party itself. I did not state it was a political travesty, think I even said it was not about an evil party, but I reacted to the immediate posts that opened up with both barrels about the evil Dems do. I went after that, not Christie.

Now, it is certainly possible Christie (who I do not despise btw) had no connection directly, possible that he did. He may have fired the clown, the clown may have fallen on the sword to protect Jumbo. No one knows. I did state however that what can be questioned is his ability to pick and control his worker bees and that leads to the fair question of his qualifications to hold high office.

Not feeling like I went high and mighty, but I did point out that others were quick to circle the wagons and list bad things about the other guys...things unrelated to this incident. To me that's just as much about koolaid as Dems who deflect and deny.

I am convinced that Maddow's investigating/ reporting of the traffic jam had everything to do with Hillary, and was intended to deflect from Benghazi.

I am convinced that the 91 yr old woman whom had cardiac arrest would have died, despite the traffic jam.

I'm convinced the O.P. used his comments to suggest that Cristie was responsible for her death, as kindling.

your convictions are OK with me on all 3, I just feel the real story is and should be the traffic jam and what surrounds it, not the reporter.

Do you feel that investigative reporters and political pundits are capable of being unbiased? Of course not. Her slant will never surprise you, her reasons for digging will never surprise you, but what about the story? Don't we need people who dig out filth and corruption even if our home team gets exposed?

I misspoke above. I am not OK with saying a 91 year old woman would have died anyway...you can't mean that an old life is not so valuable. You can't mean it's ok for people in power (Christie or not, his staff or not) to pull crap like this...I choose to believe you are taking a cavalier attitude here but don't really believe her life is not an issue at all. You are a good person and you value life. Benghazi doesn't make any of this right or wrong.

I am still wondering where your "outrage" is that this really happened regardless of how or why we finally found out. You're killing the messenger because you hate her, but don't miss the message. This incident is disgraceful.

And the 91 year old could have been someone you do value.

I very much value everyone's life.

The fact is that her own family has now come out and stated that they don't believe the traffic jam was a factor in her death. She had a heart attack at the age of 91.

I cannot and do not make any excuses for the buffoons who orchestrated this outrageous abuse of power against, not only the local mayor, who was being bullied for his apparent lack of political support for Cristy, but for the abuse of the citizenry, and their right to freedom of movement being infringed upon by a tyrannical state government.

I also understand that there is presently no evidence that the Governor knew anything about this, and has fired his staff members that were responsible. I think criminal charges should be pursued against them, if applicable.

I don't even care for Gov. Christy, myself. I have no reason to try to protect him. I'm just trying to "keep it real".

1. Outside of the confines of NJ, Christie is a moderate Democrat at best.
2. I really, really hope any chance of him gumming up the works in the next presidential election is long gone. He can take Jeb Bush with him, too.
3. I liked how he handled the union deals, but other than that, see comment 1.
4. Any modicum of "like" I may have had for the guy disappeared when I watched him skipping arm-in-arm down the boardwalk with the Marxist-in-Chief.

I am being told this is serious business, because some 91 year old woman had a heart attack and checked out. I listened to a talking head last night breathlessly opining that Christie could be brought up on murder charges. Now no one at MSNBC gave a sh*t about the people who died at Benghaz,i or because of the Fast and Furious gun scheme cooked up by our president's minions. It was all "nothing to see here."

In the end, I understand that the focus on this is a great distraction from the real issues. It provides hours of endless weenie whacking fantasy material for the Libs, and some ratings for basement dwelling "news" stations. So carry on. horse

The problem with Maddow is that she will crucify Republican crooks, and not liberal crooks. Mainly because if she did, there would be a line of crosses from DC that would make the Romans blanch. And Rick here is dumb enough to think she deserves a cookie for being correct once every five years. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

But Maddow will never turn on her masters. Because if she did go after one of them it would be her hanging from a tree, and she knows this.

Rick et al are too easily impressed by ankle-biters.

And to further kill the boy-crush fantasy of all the Madcow fans out there, the North Bergen Record newspaper broke the story. Electronic media, as they do so often, lapped up the table scraps. Just because you heard if first on MSNBC doesn't mean they were first.
