President Barack Obama has condemned the violence in Ukraine, saying the United States expects the Ukrainian government to show restraint against protesters and warning that there would be consequences for stepping over the line.
"We hold the Ukrainian government primarily responsible for making sure that it is dealing with peaceful protesters in an appropriate way, that the Ukrainian people are able to assemble and speak freely about their interests without fear of repression," the President told reporters. "We've also said we expect peaceful protestors to remain peaceful."

Obama made the remarks after arriving in Toluca, Mexico, for an economic summit.

I draw lines every day. Mostly vector. Sometimes with bezier curves. A lot of the time they are three dimensional lines and connect to multiple points to create a solid object.

Don't you love force?
Our fault, I fear.
I thought that they'd want what we want...
Sorry, don't fear!
And where are the drones
Send in the drones
Don't bother, they're here.

I do not think we should intercede in the Ukraine under any circumstances for 3 specific reasons. 1) I do not want to see Americans die in a police action. 2) It is not our place to force our will on other countries. 3) This is one of the purposes of NATO, it should be a global decision.

About 100 people have died in the violence in Ukraine since this morning, the chief medical coordinator of the protesters said. At least 500 others have been injured, he said.

The Ukrainian government has not released an update on the casualties of the violence.

When the French stormed the Bastille, they didn't have no chief medical coordinator.

Protesting has gone ridiculously soft.

Yeah, it's pretty bad over there & they'll probably eventually be reabsorbed by Russia. That's too bad but that's life. Embargoes are not going to help & military intervention is unnecessary unless it's our politicians and their kids... Nutbag McCain is clamoring for war again... and an IMF (US) bailout. That fool was canonized by the media after he lost to another fool in 2008. Those were the choices offered to us.

Here's to the second rape of the Soviet bread basket.Beer
Perhaps the EU should have let them in 6 years ago as buffer to Russia.

Like an Org chart Obama uses dotted lines... this way he has gaps and no real tie to any relationship or responsibility

One other point, there's suspicion that the rebels (much like the Lybian, Syrian, & Egyptian counterparts) are being organized & funded by the likes of Soros.
This creep supposedly makes his killings short-selling prior to chaotic events. So don't believe all the propaganda spewed by the USA about gooood demonstrators vs. baaad Ukranian Government...
