Just sayin'...here we have an endangered species and we're going to justify killing them into extinction when there is a right way to deal with it.
I know that there are rescue agencies and sanctuaries, but at this time, if they are an actual endangered species, they would not be issuing hunting licenses for that animal.
And to be honest, depending on the state regulations, they could have killed the animal out of fear for their safety and not needed to tag it with a valid license, as a nuisance animal.
To me this seems to be an opportunity that a family took to fill a tag for their daughter, without having to follow the game in their natural environment, but rather took advantage of a vulnerable animal.
