And she also believes that dinosaurs and humans walked the earth at the same time. Just because you have faith in the Biblical account of creation doesn't make it factual.

Shows how delusional these folks are. They see things ONLY their way.

How does she explain 12,000 year old temple in Turkey or the many others. Thats just it, they dont need an explanation once they have drunk that tea.

This just in: She's not relevant in our political system.

I'd rather have the talking heads on Fox and CNN subscribe to whackos-r-us then have our actual politicians tell us that we should "pass the bill so we can see what's in it".

But too many fools will lament over Palin.

I just posted this as a counter point to the Sheila Lee thread. Just to show that there are idiots in both of the main parties. Sheila Lee is definitely the winner in the race to the bottom of the brain trust. Only she is dumber than her ideas.

But Palin is way easier on the eyes than Jackson-Lee.

A religious belief not a political one. Some religious 'gangs' insist on litmus testing faith. The tests involve subscribing to ancient explanations of unexplainable, regardless of current knowledge. I think a more common age is 5,000 years, but I'm not expert.

Some political & media "gangs" insist on litmus testing people and candidates using religion and faith.

True, though I would add, "...or lack thereof."

Palin: Oh, I think it should be taught as an accepted principle. And, as you know, I say that also as the daughter of a school teacher, a science teacher, who has really instilled in me a respect for science. It should be taught in our schools. And I won't deny that I see the hand of God in this beautiful creation that is Earth. But that is not part of the state policy or a local curriculum in a school district. Science should be taught it science class.

Not defending Palin, just adding to the conversation.

I hear ya.
Both sides suck.

But Palin is an entertainer and Sheila Lee is a politician.
I'm sure you can find a whack job that's actually still in the GOP to make your point.

Kennedy, wow, I am not a big fan of the guy, but people really wigged out about him being Catholic, it was like going back to the dark ages. Today, it's either members of some fundamentalist religions, those suffering from theophobia or paranoid atheists stirring the pot. Meanwhile, mullahs teach hate and discrimination and it's virtually ignored.

As a "literalist" I fell into the same trap that secularists & some Christians do. Those who don't do the proper research and take some of the misinterpreted words of parts the Bible literally. The Holy Bible's day, week, month, or year is not necessarily equivalent to our measurements. I don't have many answers but I would discuss with you further, some day, over a pale Amontillado but not on this wacky blog.

Instead, let's toast to global warming, good vaccines, improved genetically modified food, the people's Government, er, better delete that one, and other conventional shibboleths that we've grown to understand, accept, and love.

Sarah Palin believes the earth is 7000 years old = 0 cost to you

Obama Believes we should buy oil from terrorist and fund their arsenals and Give everyone free healthcare and it will save us money and that we should go trillions of dollars in debt to fund liberal causes and your life will improve

= Costing you your economic future and freedom

I'll take Palin any day..

Dont be mislead, no one has ever given "the terrorist" (as you call them) more money that Bush. He increased the price of oil, from $40 a barrel to $100. So if they were making 100 billion a year, they started getting paid $250 Billion- thats $150billion extra free money. Historians have marked it as the largest transition of wealth from America EVER. Then the dumbass texan gave them Billons for the two wars. Guess what we paid for the first gulf war: Zero. And it bought oil down to $20 a barrel.

Putting that moron from texas in office is a mistake we are going to pay for a long time.

I dont know when we became the party of the dumb candidates. A beauty queen from the outpost, a village idiot from texas, really. We were the exact opposite, we had Rumsfeld, Kissinger, Bush Senior, and the list goes on and on. Now we have to choose between a bimbo and a priest. Guess what, they both lost, so suck it up.

No the cost is not 0; it cost us the election.

Despite Ms. Palin's lack of gray mater, it is important to remember she is in fact smarter than most of the people that would vote for her.

We don't need no frickin' genius. You can hire the experts later. We just need someone with common sense, integrity, and lotsa sand who'll tell us what we don't want to hear.

He'd be a great start to returning to some sort of F'n sanity in Big Gov. Bill Beer
And I have to agree with previous commentary, HUGE difference between " beliefs" and " sheer ignorance" when discussing these two individuals.
You'd just have to be blind and deaf to see it differently IMhO

Seemed promising at one point but his refusal to appear on Michael Savage's show among other anti-Government, politically nonsectarian venues makes me a little uncomfortable. Instead he opts for "safe" Fox where he can preach to the choir and other politically lite crap shows out there.

Rubio's another one who's disappointed me with his stance on immigration and his play along to get the votes strategy- instead of fighting hard for what he believes- regardless of political outcome. He's also a professional bureaucrat who's never accomplished anything in the real world a la Obama.

You have described the Republican party's current manifesto. They were a party that created voters, now they just look for them.
