+1

Reagan was the first person that I voted for when I was able to vote. By today's standards he would be labeled a moderate conservative and would never even make it on a Republican ballot. Brick wall

Reagan created national debt. Satellites with laser beams never really took off for him.

Landru? Vaguely remember that as some sort of Star Trek reference?

I worked a few blocks away on K Street. Could see the sirens from my office.
Turns out Reagan wasn't all he was made out to be, but byGod he was miles above the current crop of crap.

Thanks for the Brady bill moron. Now it's the baseline for all anti gun legislation. Take your shot like a man and honor your friend but don't tread on us.

Except for about a year during 1835–1836, the United States has continuously held a public debt since the US Constitution legally went into effect on March 4, 1789. During the American Revolution, the Continental Congress, under the Articles, amassed huge war debts, but lacked the power to service these obligations through taxation or duties on imports.

Not one to be a party pooper, but the debt % increase under Reagan's eight years is about the same as 4 years of Obama. In terms of $$$'s the debt under Obama is a bit more than all under all Presidents combined since Roosevelt.
