WONT BE TRADING ANYMORE. I LISTED A DREW ESTATE SAMPLER MAILED IT AND NEVER HEARD FROM THE GUY. ALSO MY FIRST THE GUY KEPT JERKING ME AROUND WITH THE WRONG ADDRESS AND NEVER SENT ME THE TRADE, I KEPT PAYING FOR BAD ADDRESSES. CHAO. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH.

When I first began trading, MrsS asked "what if the other person doesn't send you anything?" ... I told her the worst that it could be was that I'd be out about $20 and figured I could weather the blow if it were to happen ... but I figured I couldn't go wrong swapping with guys that were regular here ... never a complaint ... sometimes a quicker response than I might have imagined possible, sometimes a little slower than average, never shorted anything and have sometimes even been sent a little extra ...

hey, if you don't know 'em at all, move a bit carefully 'til you DO know 'em, but with the regulars here, don't think twice about it.

Maggie ... everyone one here has made great points. I've only had one instance where I sent someone here (at their request) five of my most favorite cigars in a trade, and they never sent me anything in return.

I know it sucks, but don't let one bad trade foul you. All my other trades went well, and i was able to get cigars I otherwise wouldn't have been able to try.

You should give that person one more chance to come clean ... and tell them that you are going to post their 'username' here to warn others, if he dosen't.

It's the right thing to do, so others here don't get burned.

Maggiepond, I would be the guy that traded the Drew Estate Sampler with you. I e-mailed you on Monday and told you that that is when I sent the check out. This morning I received an e-mail that said you didn't get it. For that I'm sorry. This morning I sent you the address that I sent the check to for you to double-check to make sure it got sent to the right place. I also asked that you wait and if you haven't received it over the weekend then I will send you a replacement check next Monday. Sometimes the PO is slow. But I am NOT jerking you around. I am an honest person and I will make sure to hold up my end of the bargain.

ok now we know who it was and he also stated that he sent payment. Plabs,why not send another check and if maggie gets the first one she can send the second back. no harm and no foul. maggie,the person came clean on his own,however if someone hear does get stiffed(it's been done already here but other sites as well),you should out them after all means have been tried to correct the wrong. this is a great site with "good" people,but yes there are some a$$holes that spoil it for us all. please don't give up on us "good guys" yet.

First off I DID send payment. And I notified Maggiepond of this TWICE the day I sent it. Once to say I'm sending it and again later to say I sent it. So for her to say she never heard from me isn't correct. Second a possibility of why the check was not received is that perhaps I have the wrong snail address. I e-mailed Maggiepond again today (actually three times today) to try to verify I have the correct address. I have not heard from her. I will not send out another check until I know I have the right information.

I'm actually quite upset by Maggie's post because I not only e-mailed her twice on Monday but again (Tuesday or Wednesday I forget which) to say I received her package and thanks. This morning I get a message that says she has not received the check yet. And I e-mailed her back. Now I come over to the trade board and see this thread which is insinuating that I'm a deadbeat and didn't send money. It isn't my fault if the PO is slow or the wrong address was sent to me (although it is my fault if I addressed the envelope wrong). My guess is that when she goes to her mailbox today the check will be there. But like I said in the above post and in the e-mails I sent that I will make sure she does receive her money. I'm just really upset because I've done my part and yet people will now be hesitant to trade with me because of Maggie's scathing post.

This is nice. I just noticed that Maggie's post here is time dated at 2:47 yesterday. Yet the e-mail she sent me to tell me that she didn't get the check isn't time dated until 6:06. Perhaps next time you should let the individual know if there is a problem before you complain about them on a public board.

first off Plab i never said you didnt send the check. i did state that maybe a replacement was needed to be sent. as for the trashing, we only asked her whom she dealt with and others also have instructed her to use all means possible first before outing the person.(see Slims post). Yes the USPS sucks every now and again and things do get lost,and yes we have all jumped the gun on venting our frustrations. atleast now it looks that with these posts she'll get the msg that was missed and hopefully all can be worked out. your concern that nobody will trade with you now is also a knee-jerk move. you stated your side and nobody outed you. you gave direct comments on your dealings and that the PO might have screwed up or maybe it was a communication pronblem on the snailers.(whatever). If you would like to do a trade ,i'm up for it. send me your snailer and likes and i'll get you a pkg out mon. you take a look at them and return what you think is a fair exchange. any ?'s email me at [email protected]

First of all, i did not turn anyone in.i mentionaed no names at all. you did paul.we made the deal last week. i rushed the package to you, in fact i threw in some additional smokes that i thought you would enjoy. you emailed me that you forgot my address and woould send the check on monday. that was fine.i had no problem.perhaps i jumped the gun a bit since i had been so rudely burnt by the previous tradrer, for that i apologize. but on thursday when i still didnt get anything, and here it is friday.i am sure you are an honest person, i just felt after this being anothe ordeal i was no longer going to trade. it is certainly, it seems to me, a one sided type of thing. i would ask the group to definitely trade with paul, so what the check takes two weeks to get to someone.let me make an announcement when the check arrives. but for me i will no longer trade, its not worth it.if your order from ci took 2 weeks youd be freaking,eh? enjoy the smokes, keep the 25.00. i learned a very valuable lesson for a mere 25.00 dollars.PRICELESS!

Maggie, I feel bad that you have such hard feelings. It is not my intention to make you wait. I didn't receive your mailing address until last Friday. (you sent it Thursday after 5:00. The e-mail is going to my work address and I didn't get it until Friday). It was my intention to send you the money Saturday but like I said I forgot your address at work. Again I'm sorry. I e-mailed you first thing Monday to let you know and again to let you know the money was coming your way. I again am sorry you don't have it by now. It was not my intention to make you wait or to leave a bad taste in your mouth for trading. I again ask that you double check the address that I sent you via e-mail today to see if it is the correct one. If it is I'll gladly send you a replacement check. Or if you prefer I can even send you the money via Paypal if you are set up for it. Again I'm VERY sorry for any inconvience I've put you through. But don't let my trade be the standard by which you judge everyone else.

Paul has taken me up on my trade offer and i'll offer you Maggie the same. Let me know some of your favorites or smokes that you would like to try and i'll put together a pkg. when you get it you send me what you deem fair trade. dont let this RESOLVED mishap cancel your trading. there are a lot of good people on this board that would be more than willing to bend over backwards if the right trade sticks were offered.

It came from Cuba because I was hoping that they would add in something for you. I am very sorry that you had to wait so long. But I'm glad you did get it.

Now if you could just make sure to hold on to that check for a week until I can get some money to cover it I think we'll be ok. (just kidding)

never did get it straightened with the other trader. he kept sending me the wrong address and would make a little change in it everytime i got the package back. after three attempts and 12 dollars in postage i caught on to it. that was my first and that is why i was a little skiddish thereafter. but all is fine.

Sneaky indeed because in case no one has noticed, I have never posted to the trade board before.
I guess you know Xibuggero that this means war. Or possibly a small skirmish with paintballs. I said paint, not painted. It's ok to say paintballs on this forum, I think.
