They just aren't smart enough to know it.

This is amusing when you really try to read it.

Democrats approve of Obama. But to a lesser extent approve of the policies he has regarding ISIS (but only when those policies are identified in neutral terms).

Republicans think Obama isn't doing what he should be regarding ISIS. But he's actually doing what they've identified as appropriate policy RE ISIS.

What does this mean? Neither Democrats nor Republicans actually know what the president's actions have been, they probably don't care. They're just cheering or whining based on partisan crap.

I think he's been bombing people.

And I'm pretty sure we've been getting a lot of use out of those drones the past 6 years.

He drew a number of red lines, in a number of different locations.

His red sharpie ran out, and all we're left with is the hot air he babbles.

Obama, who described ISIS as a "serious threat" in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," is scheduled to speak to the nation Wednesday to outline his strategy to address the terrorist organization. He will meet with congressional leaders on Tuesday to discuss his plan.

This is a tidbit from your CNN link.....

I remember when FDR told the Germans our strategy because it was better than having folks at home mad at him and stuff.

I especially liked when FDR told the NIPs we would meet them at midway and stuff. it's important Obama commit to going in to Syria. The press is mad that he hasn't. It would be dumb to tell them we would not then do it. That would be like going in to Pakistan to get OBL without telling the world and Paki first. Dumb.

What does his description of them have to do with whether he's doing what you want?

He could call them the JV team or the Special Olympics and still order air strikes.

I thought he this thread was about Obama announcing his resignation, not more koolaid.

Obumma does as he alone see fit to do and nothing else matters... to him.

His description came Before two innocent people lost their lives.....and gave then additional weeks to further their plans

It's interesting to me that even formally uneducated folks like myself KNEW pulling out of Iraq too soon would allow for middle eastern unrest and allow yet another radical group to come in and set up shop in the vacuum created by Your Boy. Let's face it he is **** on foreign policy and knows **** about how a military operates....he's a Dunce

We never should have gone in in the first place. Chicken/egg. Now we need to stay there forever if we are going to get this queesy over 2 deaths. At least if we put more in there there are more to kidnap.

Or, we could stay out completely and Americans that enter do so at their own peril. Let the locals sort it out.

Pretty dumb to do the same thing forever.

Oh quit clutching your pearls.
Killing 2 "innocent people" doesn't really qualify a terrorist group as "non JV status"....

I'm sure if Obama hadn't pulled out of Iraq when he did I'd be stuck reading sh#t from you like "why hasn't he stopped wasting taxpayers money on stabilizing Iraq when there's so much he needs to do here!" or some other whining. Hell, I probably could find a quote like that from you back before Obama pulled out of Iraq.

Are you saying that you want us to re-invade Iraq? Is that your suggestion for the problem? Is that what you feel Obama isn't doing that needs to be done? 2 journalists walk into an unstable country, get beheaded by terrorists and we get to go invade Iraq?

Guess why "we're" still there, and will continue to send our young men and women in the military over there to risk their lives........BP, Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Chevron, Occidental, Shell and affiliated companies. American oil companies and other corporate interests are making "holy cow" kinda money over there.

The heads of those two journalists are just the boogeyman to distract us from the reality.

It was, and always will be about the money & oil!
No one really cares about their religion. Only the effects their extremist views and actions has on our economy.
Can't remember the last time I heard about an extremist Catholic in the news???

I'm pretty sure the Irish had extremist Catholics.

MACS.... I'm glad you brought up Michael Moore, I think it provides evidence of my point. We can all agree that Moore represents a very FAR left viewpoint. If he's disappointed with Obama (and from what I've read the far left is upset with Obama) that would suggest that he's not actually acting as a far left president. Combine that with the far right nutjobs hating him (as we can see in every post here) and we can be assured he isn't doing what they want. That would suggest (now I'm not saying it proves it, just that it suggests) that Obama is actually acting as a somewhat centrist president... and meeting the needs of the much less vocal (but larger) moderate part of the population.

Any politician doing what the idiots on the far left or far right want will ultimately fail. Because the people on the fringe are dumb and unhinged.

Actually the income gap between the top and the bottom has significantly widened under President Obama. He maintained the status quo for the bottom and improved the top all the while lamenting about the middle class. Cool trick!

please forgive this thread jack. whoever is responsible for the boards don't seem to be up to speed. I have tried google chrome and the latest explorer

haven't update the board so "new topic" and "advanced reply" don't or with windows 8.1. if you have a few moments of time, please fix it.

now for the politics: I don't know all their names, sunnis, sheits, and so many others are in the groups of Muslims that each are dedicated to killing all the others

who have chosen their ide of what god wants so they are doing the Christian way and started the new crusades. for over a 1000 years they have entertained

their gods.

look at a map of Syria nd in the lower left corner is a formerly barren piece of dirt now, again called Israel http://smartraveller.gov.au/zwiki/pub/Maps/countries/dfat/Syria.jpg

and no one dares "F" with Israel, who installed rear view mirrors in the fighter jets ,that the American mfgs didn't even think about

Obama's numbers are down primarily because he has been a disappointment to the left, and to the moderate independents. The numbers on the right have been solid and steady since day one, in November 2008. It is amazing to me, though, that a very vehement, powerful, media savvy, wealthy and vocal small minority of the population can exert so much influence on the politics of the day.

Issues that have popular appeal among large majorities of the nation's populace have been subverted time after time during the Obama presidency. This small minority has proven that a real lever of power resides in the House. That explains the amount of money that is being spent on elections in obscure and sparsely populated areas of the nation: and those members of the House, once elected, do not worry about their constituencies or their re-election.
