T-Gaiter, OUCH! True, going 1-0 in Sept is no cure for losing the AFC Championshiop game, but I'd rather win it than lose twice in a row to the "Patsies". Believe me, I congratulate NE for showing the League that they could hang with the best of them, even AFTER losing Drew. But there was a reason why they were always the Underdog (without Polly Purebred, of course!).
I was a Pitt/NE game a few years ago when NE had everything in hand until late in the 3rd Q: an interception, a fumble and next thing ya know, Pitt goes home with the victory. Doesn't take much for momentum to turn. Of course, January 1997 AFC Championship game left me a little disappointed also. "Fog Bowl" - first play from scrimmage was a fly pattern against Rod Woodson's reconstructed knee after coming off DL for entire year. That was a long day for the Black & Gold.
Nevertheless, I hope tailgating at CMGi will be just as fun as the former Schaefer Stadium and any time I go with my buddies, I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for a cigar-smoker and ask him, "Are you Tailgaiter?" -Ted
